Below you’ll find a high level explanation of the Canva integration with HoneyBook. The goal of this feature is to allow HoneyBook members to easily upload and sync the designs they create in Canva into their Library in HoneyBook.

What will this integration allow me to do?

The Canva integration will allow you to instantly import designs and files you create in Canva into your HoneyBook Library without having to leave the platform. Using the imported images in the HoneyBook Library, you’ll be able to insert the Canva imported images into smart files, emails, lead forms, contact forms, and more!

There are two places within HoneyBook that you can access the integration:

1 - The Integrations Page

2 - The Library

You can also import Canva designs without leaving the smart file you are working on.  You can add a Canva block to the smart file, which will allow them to import Canva designs to the smart file without interrupting your workflow.

You will also be able to import designs from Canva into your Library and use it from an existing image block.

There is currently no file size limit to what you can import from Canva.

Out of Scope

Automatic updates: Changes made in a file within Canva will not sync to files uploaded in HoneyBook. This means that if you make a change to your file in Canva, you’ll need to re-upload the file into HoneyBook in order to have the latest version of the file to use in your Library.

File organization: At this time we are not able to create folders for the uploaded Canva files. Greater file and template organization part of our long term plan but not part of this integration.

Embedded images in emails: Canva images will not be able to be embedded into the body of emails. However, if you open an image in the Library or in the attach modal and right click it and click on “copy image” and then go to the email body you can paste the image and its inserted into the email :)

I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED FOR THIS!!

I’m really excited about the Canva integration—it feels so necessary! I’m curious, though, if there’s an ETA on the organizational capabilities of the Library. This will be pivotal, especially considering how users might utilize HB. For example, I have meticulously organized folders in Canva, but importing them into the HB Library feels overwhelming without the ability to mirror my file sorting system.

I am really excited for this.  However, until the file organization piece comes in it will be more of a hassle to use than a help. I’m excited about how this will continue to develop and I’m grateful you all made this integration an option.

Are we allowed to talk about this integration publicly? I’ve got a bunch of HB content going out this month but have not been sure if I can talk about BETA features. Or is it like fight club? 🤣

You’re welcome to share that this integration in in beta and not released to the general public yet @Ashley Rufino

Loving this new integration! So far everything appears to be working for me properly 😍

With the canva integration, are the pages essentially flattened pdfs?

We’re trying to get into this, but the links embedded on our canva pages aren’t clickable, unless I’m missing something...

I’ve tried it out and sadly the files don’t upload in high res so things look grainy! Hoping this will be worked out. 😩
