Hello

I just finished my HoneyBook trail 2 days ago and took the leap with a Membership, so now it feels like I’m drinking from a fire hose! 😩

Hoping someone here can help…

As I see it right now, I have 3 types of clients:

  1. Corporate
  2. Private
  3. Event Planners

I have a few email funnels that I like to use at different stages of the relationship but the specific content of some of those emails might vary depending on the recipient.

As an example:

When speaking to an Event Planner, the email might read: “...have a great time at your client’s {Project Type}...”

But when I’m speaking with a Corporate client, the same sentence in the email would read: “...have a great time at {Company Name}’s {Project type}…

And there would be a slightly different sentence for a Private client.

So, I’m curious how you might handle organizing your clients (if you even do!) and how you might solve this puzzle. 🤔

Thanks very much

Dennis

@Dennis Kyriakos welcome! :)

I remember the initial set up of everything can be a little overwhelming but if you set it up well, it will be worth it so in the long run!

At our venue, we categorize them not by who we are talking to (client, event planner, etc.) but by event type - showers, private party, business event/meeting, etc. - so that we can tailor the language the type of event they will be hosting, AND pre-attach several pictures of past similar events to those emails.

Because of the way we have it set up, we don’t use the smart fields as much in our template emails. We still have to do tweaking to each email to really personalize it to each customer, but we have found separating them by event type works best for us.

Hope this helps. Happy to share more if you have any questions.

Thanks @Julia Spears!

I’ll take this advice in as I continue setting things up. Always more than one way to do things!

Dennis

I just label my email templates with the event type in front but actually use a number system for each. I’m not sure if that makes sense, but it works for me.
