I am a professional organizer  and sell many individual products to clients, in addition to my on-site service.

Since I am unable to delineate products from service in Honeybook, I have to use Quickbooks for all my invoicing. But, becauseHB is so much prettier and I love it to interface with clients, I cut and paste a screenshot of their QB invoice into a smartfile, then link it to their QB payments window. This way, on my financial forms, I am able to see which line items are products and which are services, which is necessary for tax reporting.

it would be extremely helpful if HB was able to track products, keep a list of items with photo, proces, description, etc., and report separately for products and services. Then, I wouldn’t have to use QB at all, which would save me a ton of time and money!

Thank you!

Question: are you not processing payments through HB? If not, why not? If I’m understanding your process, it sounds like you could cut QB out if you start accepting payments via HB. If you use separate items for services vs. products then you should be able to see what you want in the financial reporting section. Maybe not on separate reports, but not sure why you’d need them separately...
