Add Button Feature or have links open in a new tab

Is it possible to have links in our Honey Book documents open in a new tab? I sent a proposal to a client that includes work samples of a Google Slide I built. When they open it, it of course replaces my proposal with the Google Slide doc and the only way to get back to it is after clicking back through the seven paged slide.

 

Am I missing something? the ability to add a button within our documents would be amazing.

    ​@Nye' Lyn Tho - You're not missing anything—currently, there isn't a way to make links open in a new tab within HoneyBook Smart Files. I agree that would be super helpful for keeping clients in the flow of the proposal while still allowing them to view external content.

    In the meantime, a couple of workarounds:

    • You can create a button-style image in Canva, insert it into your Smart File, and hyperlink it to your Google Slides.

    • Or, you can simply link the slideshow as text, though it will still open in the same tab.

    Definitely consider submitting this idea to the Ideas section of the Community—it’s a great one, and with enough upvotes, HoneyBook may explore it in a future update! 💛
