Hi HoneyBook, I own a seasonal mobile swim lesson business. We only use HB March-August (5 months, maybe 6n if it takes us a couple weeks to put on our “see you next season” auto-responses.) Is there a way to ONLY pay for the months we are using it, and pause for the months we hibernate? I’ve had HB for 3 full seasons now, and each year the amount increases significantly over the 12 month period. My next bill, due in January, is another $118 increase! The instructors only teach lessons for 10 weeks while school is out from the end of May- end of July. Year-long plans without the abiity to pause during the off season are eating a significant portion of the profits. Please let me know if there is a solution to this.  Thank you, Alecia

Need to know how to create individual contracts within one project. Project has multiple models, but creating model release form only includes the first client signature block. I can do multiple signature blocks but have to change everything in the smart blocks. There has to be an easier way. This is a time burden.Within project, I can’t send individual emails for these models because the project is grouped even when going into their contact form.

Hi all. Can someone help me understand the financial reporting and dashboard? I find it confusing and inaccurate. The Home Screen has one number, my overview says another. HB took away the one way I felt confident in checking the amount of payments received. You use to be able to select a custom date range and see the payment totals for the time period. I feel like that was the most accurate information but HB removed it in a recent update (stop “fixing” stuff that isn’t broken and taking away features that we use). A report of projects booked between this date and this date feels wildly unhelpful as I have clients on reoccurring subscriptions and then other projects that don’t warrant a date because it’s design work.  I use to be so good at always knowing my numbers and sales but now it’s extremely frustrating to track especially as I do quarterly tax payments, etc. HB please bring back the custom date range in the Payment tab and add it to the other financial reports.  Also, perhaps

I know that passing ACH processing fees to clients is in Beta, however, wondering how this shows up on the clients side? Are they given the option to pay or does it immediately get added into their invoice. Does it tell them they are being charged? Is there a note anywhere or is it up to us to let them know?

I just logged into HoneyBook today and noticed they’ve added galleries, and I’m really curious to hear everyone’s thoughts!I’ve been using ShootProof for over 10 years as a photographer, and I currently use it for both gallery delivery and long-term archiving. I love how easy it is to set up a gallery and quickly send it off to a client, so I’m wondering how HoneyBook’s galleries compare.A few questions I have: Is the gallery feature included with the current HoneyBook membership, or is there an additional fee? Are galleries able to be archived long-term, or is this more designed for smaller projects and quick delivery? How does the client experience compare to ShootProof? I actually already sent a gallery out through HoneyBook today, and I have to say the convenience of having everything in one place is really appealing. I’d love to hear from photographers who have tested it out!

The honeybook notetaker decided I was a man because my name is Toby. I am not. I don’t like my clients seeing notes that misrepresent that. Is there away to tell Honeybook my gender? If not, that should be added so that the notes are reflected accurately.

I need to create a ceremony floorplan, but adding individual chairs that are out of alignment seems very inefficient. Is there a way to add rows? 

When you get a new lead email and then click on view details, is there a way to go directly to the lead’s responses. This is minutiae annoyance level stuff, but I usually have to click 2 more things and have them load.  thanks

Unless I am missing something (and Honeybook AI results said I was not), why can we not cancel meetings (not the main project date) on the app? It is just an extra step to remember to do later if I don’t have a PC.

The extension used to migrate ALL the details from my Knot, WeddingWire, and Here Comes the Guide leads.Now, not only does it “summarize” the details and leave key info out, it records it as an “email” lead instead of the service it came from.  It doesn’t move the clients phone number over either.   HB response:For the email summary, this was provided as expected. This is intended to offer a brief summary rather than covering all the details included in the email.  As far as the source, they confirmed that this is expected as well. As mentioned, it was pulled into HoneyBook through Gmail so the source is automatically added as Gmail. The system is unable to check how it originated in your external email.Currently, the phone number is unable to be pulled in using the Gmail Lead Finder. Okay, I gave the new automations a try… and they don’t work for my business.I loved the idea of conditional automations, particularly for the sales side.  Here are two primary issues of what wasn’t working for me:You CANNOT apply an automation manually.  I have a new client that called as she had been referred to me. We scheduled a session (consultation) for next month. When I went to add the sales process automation I had created, I got the following error message: Except there is NO way to set up a manual trigger.  This does not make good business sense.  I have two processes: one for sales and one once they are booked and have accepted our contract.  I cannot use one automation to take a project from one process to the other as the first is based on scheduling a session, and the second is based on dates leading up to their project. Was really excited to see that I could send batch emails straight from Honeybook once my list got large enough to warrant it, because setting up integrations for numerous apps that’ll cost me more money isn’t ideal. I’m not really understanding this decision from Honeybook since surely it can’t be costing that many resources to leave it up, even if not as many people are currently using it as they thought. This is one of the features that convinced me to renew my Honeybook subscription. It positioned it as a comprehensive business hub.Is anyone else disappointed this feature is being nixed in Sept.? 

I would love the questionnaire to be editable by the client after it’s been submitted. Or at least be able to reopen it for them to edit. This happens regularly: I will send a client a questionnaire and they may not be ready to complete the whole thing. I tell them that it autosaves and they can exit out and wait to submit. However, it is not user friendly because I have clients “accidentally submit the form” regularly (2-5x a month) Then they have to ask me to resend them a new one. This is a huge waste of time and a pain for me and for them especially if they have spent time filling it out partially as I have to copy and paste the answers. I would LOVE the option for the client to go back and edit once it’s submitted or at least be able to reopen it. Or, have the buttons changed to say, “Exit” and another for “Submit” to make it more clear to the client.

As a venue, many of our various packages all include many of the same sub-items. Am I wrong or are all of those sub-items unique to each service ‘bundle’.Which from what I can tell, means that identical sub-items included in multiple services all need to be updated manually one by one.  Am I wrong? If I’m not wrong, having sub-items saveable as re-usable would be incredibly helpful in creating “packages” helping streamline things.

im trying to funnel my meta ad leads into my automation and I was excited because I've found videos and documentation of it being possible online from about a year to two years back but when I look for the card in integrations its missing. I reached out to support and they said the feature is being removed?! They also said to make a ticket here to show interest and express how this feature is vital and important to a CRM system like honeybook. Makes me less confident in using HB. Anyone have a work around or advice?

Hello.   I feel like I am missing a step.   I placed my contact information, services etc all in building out my company.   for speed of getting agreements and proposals out, after I build a contact, I want to be able to use my contract and proposals shells without having to re-type all of the information i just put in and have it merge into the documents.   when I was setting everything up, I thought I completed all of the information like clauses, detail, etc.   What am I missing and can someone share with me steps so I can go back and track what I am missing?thanks  

I hate that there is still no option to embed images into the body of an email. I need to do this for client reviews! I first mentioned this back in 2023, and still nothing has been done about it. I don’t understand why HoneyBook won’t allow it when all other email platforms do. HoneyBook, any solution? The “attach images” option is not what I’m looking for.

I wish there was a way for when a project is booked it says booked, or to only show booked projects in my calendar.

I love Honeybook, but there are two things that that I’d love to see changed in the system. Recently, I've had couples who want to pay their invoices early. Because I have a payment schedule they're unable to do that. I didn't even know this until tonight when I was in a meeting with one of my couples and they mentioned that they tried to pay me early and couldn't do it. I had to tell them to pay me through a different online payment system instead. Is there a reason why clients are unable to pay the balance on invoices early? Also scheduling meetings can be a hassle. I have a few weddings where the couple with family members are all included on the project. In this case, the Bride, her mom, and her grandparent, attend all the meetings. However, when I book a meeting in their project, only the Bride gets the notification, link, and reminders about the meeting. Is there a way to add an automation to add bookmarks to the client portal? If not, is there a setting to always have the same bookmarks in the client portal? Or do we have to add them manually to every project?

For future users easy of use of Honeybook...I am looking for A condition that is if someone reads my email that I sent in the automation there need top be a condition that would then move to yes or no choice automatically. And I can use this automation with any project (not having to create a project template file to send). I am wanting Honeybook to work harder for me, Not me work hard for Honeybook. Doug
