Hi Honeybook community!I run a boutique digital studio serving artists in entertainment. I've been speaking at performing arts organizations and universities for over a decade — SAG-AFTRA, NYU, Broadway Dance Center, and more — and I genuinely love it. Teaching is my favorite thing.I'm trying to get more intentional about it: outreach 2x a year, timed just after semester kickoff when professors are planning their curriculum.My three tiers are:Q&A Only — $250 / 60 min Keynote + Q&A — $500 / 90 min (slides, companion worksheet, recording access) Workshop Series — $1,200 / three 90-min sessionsMy challenge: I don't want this competing with my core studio pipeline. It's a passion project, not a business pivot.Two questions for the community regarding best set up:Do you keep speaking outreach in your primary Honeybook, start a secondary company/pipeline in Honeybook, or handle it via another tool, such as Squarespace’s baby CRM? The Tip Toggle in the invoice should be  defaulted to off.I didn't notice it when it came out. It automatically sent an email to a client asking for a tip. I was horrified. I sent an apology and I was so embarrassed. This toggle should be off and we should have to turn it on. I do not ask clients for tips. 

Hi! Am I able to send out one invoice (the session fee) to all participants of my mini session event? Or do I have to send out the exact same invoice over and over to all of the email address on my sign up list? Thank you for any help! 

I’d love to see automations that can check if a date is already booked across all projects—not just the current inquiry.When a new inquiry comes in for a specific date, I want HoneyBook to automatically:Check if any project for that date is already booked (retainer paid or contract signed) Send an “Unavailable” email if booked, or an “Availability and Pricing” email if notThis would help me avoid double-booking and respond to clients faster. Right now, automations only check the status within the inquiry project, which isn’t enough for my workflow.Thanks for considering this improvement!

I have created an account in quickbooks that is the same as my checking account but labeled account returns - I can see the account when pulling down the main account for syncing setup - but in the return account set up the only account that comes up is discounts given  

There seems to be some key missing elements to the updated project pipeline view. I have done everything within my access to make this more efficient, but at this point I’m spending too much time trying to get functional basics to work for my honeybook experience for business management vs. focusing on clients. I am wondering if I am missing something right in front of me or has anyone else had the same issues/found a solution?I need to see when the leads came in. I cannot sort any new inquiries by their submission date.  The custom view of pipelines limits the filter tags sorting, there is a glitch. For example: I need to see all clients with ‘TAG A’ and ‘TAG B’ together at the same time, but when I filter my view and select both of these tags it shows zero clients. I can only view one client type tag at a time. When any two filter tags are selected - it is showing a filter as if both of those tags are a combined 1 tag, which is not the case for any client (hence the reason for applyi

If someone could point me in the right direction on how to attach a client report or file in their client-facing portal so they can go directly to it and download it? Is that possible, and if so, how? 

In the past week and a half, I've had two separate fraud attempts on my HoneyBook Balance debit card. I don't use this card for shopping or transactions at all, I only have it because it's the only way to transfer money out to my actual business bank account. So imagine my surprise getting texts like this out of nowhere:"CVV verification failed for the HoneyBook debit card ending 4584. Please try again."The second alert (today) was for the NEW card number I was issued and a much larger attempted transaction.When I contacted support, I was told this is an industry-wide issue where fraudsters use automated tools to guess and test card numbers, and that it's not a breach of HoneyBook's systems. They confirmed both times that the transactions were blocked before going through, which is good.... Hi Folks - Is anyone out there using smart files as a way to replace the legacy timeline file? I am a wedding planner and have been using the timeline feature for ever single project. Anyone doing something tricky with smartfiles here?

I am sending an invoice & contract to a new client who has to choose her membership. She just completed a 5 day event where she paid $10. I would like to apply that $10 to the membership. When I try to do a $10 discount, it says there is an error and I can not send the invoice. Is there a work around? ?

I’m a photographer in Washington State where we are required to charge tax based on the Location Code where the photos are delivered (digital or otherwise), typically the client’s home address.  Even within a single mid-size town, there can be 5 or more “Location Codes” (aka Tax Rates).  So I literally deliver to dozens (if not more than a hundred) Location Codes/Tax Rates for my client base. All of the other invoicing platforms I’ve used in the past allow for the creation of UNLIMITED tax rates, which I simply select from a drop down at the time of invoicing (based on their address). Just made the switch to HB, which only allows up to THREE tax rates to be added. What!? I’m being told by the HB team that this is in fact the limit and there aren’t currently plans to fix this. I can’t imagine I’m the first to run into this issue. Has anyone found a work-around to this? Or can y’all upvote this post so the dev team can allow for unlimited tax rates to be added? :) This shouldn't be a com

Hey there, I am a budding Photography business and just passed my two year anniversary. The state I live in requires me to pay sales tax on digital goods for sessions.However, I have had a miserable time trying to account for this since I can’t find the information. A few (2-3 months) ago my CPA reached out to me with concerns over the reports I had been sending her saying the numbers are not adding up. Please take a deep dive into your reports. I have to submit monthly taxes to the state which I think is usual through most states. My taxable and non taxable sales are always calculated inaccurately sometimes completely omitting the sale at all and just leaving a zero on all the fields. I have submitted so many tickets with always the response of we see your ticket and we have forwarded it to the “development team” or “engineering team”. I’m not upset with any customer service I’ve received they have all been super attentive and tried to help but this is out of their control which I completely understand. I’ve been unable to get a manager or anyone who has any power to actually address this issue and get it fixed after being patient for months. I’m having a hard time understanding this one.When composing a message directly to a client within the platform, I have the option to embed code into that message. This allows me to drop just about anything into the message. A great tool. I wish that I could use this!I can’t. 99% of the emails that I send are pre-existing template emails. And…. when I write an email template… THE CODE BUTTON IS GONE!WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYThe functionality already exists. Why is HB making this so damned hard!Grrrrrrr.

In the Calendar we can not add a team member to a meeting, which means they can’t see it. It's a simple function. Just like in Projects, we need to be able to add a team member. ***Make a tab in the meetings function so we can add a team member to a meeting that has been created and/or needs to be edited with how is attending said meeting. If their name is on the meeting, it will appear under their calendar so they don’t miss a meeting. 

Client claims to be having difficulty signing the contract.  yes they can access the file, yes the email address is correct. Yes I reached out to HB chat and human agent ..there’s nothing on my end. Yes they were on seperate devices/laptops And yes  “signature required is checked. Any ideas what it can be?  One signed but not the other

I have some clients who are on autopay, and I want their invoices to go out on a particular day of the month (the 20th), but it won't be due till the first day of the month. When I send them the invoice on the 20th, Honeybook sends them an email that it is due on the 20th, when it is not (because it is actually due on the 1st).Any ideas on how to resolve this?

How do I switch which email automatically generates for certain smart files I choose? For example, when we want to send a smart file to a client, there is an email that pops up as first-choice that is attached to that smart file for us to send to the client. Certain smart files do not have the correct email wording I want, so I have to frequently choose from the drop-down menu to select the email that matches the info of that smart file. How can I switch the attached email to that smart file to another email I’ve created? Or do I just edit the one that keeps popping up first and rename that one so it says what I want it to say?

Hi! I am looking for other ways to export a filled-out lead form or questionnaire, ideally as an excel/CSV. I work with another vendor (non-honeybook business) and we are trying to streamline our information gathering so that it is not redundant for the client.The ways that I have found are to Print to PDF so that I can share the PDF or connect the other vendor with a view-only link to the client’s responses. Are there any other ways to share the information that I have collected from a client on a lead or questionnaire?

Just asked chat bot how to create an annual reminder on my calendar and it says this is not a supported feature??It’s crazy to me that my monthly fee has increased significantly to pay for all these AI integrations and automations yet something as simple as an annual reminder is not supported. Make it make sense. 

The $30/mo + $6 payee is is a bit steep for someone who only uses the occasional contractor to cover wedding events.  That works for W2 employees and staff, but not contractors who are intermittent and might only work 1-2 wedding events a year.  Other payroll platforms offer more suitable options in their product lineup to allow for “contractor-only” option like Gusto, etc.

As an account owner it baffles me that I cannot add/edit/delete team members bookings/calendar. Or am I missing those features somewhere?
