HoneyBook Product Talk

I’m incredibly disappointed to see HoneyBook remove the Time Tracker feature without offering a proper replacement. As a professional organizer, tracking time is an essential part of how I run my business. I use HoneyBook not only for contracts and invoices, but to keep my client projects, team hours, and billing organized in one place. The Time Tracker was a huge part of that. What’s even more frustrating is that I’m far from alone. Many professional organizers in my organizing community use HoneyBook in the same way, and there is a lot of frustration and disappointment about this change.Removing a feature that businesses actively rely on without replacing it with something comparable feels like a major step backwards. We shouldn’t have to introduce another app, another subscription, and another system just to replace a basic function that was already built into the platform we’re paying for.I really hope HoneyBook listens to the feedback from its users and either reinstates the Time Tr

I am ready to leave, time tracker was a major reason I have HB.

I’m incredibly upset that HB has decided to sunset a key piece of the tool & picked a random date in Sept vs. waiting until the end of the year to do so. it is really frustrating that they did not reach out to heavy users of this feature to let them know in advance. the support chats have been filled with the same info as the banner (e.g. use another tool that you have to pay for to do the same job this included feature did) i have a large government contract that requires the invoices in a certain format - which are fed by the entries i put into time tracker & then create an invoice from them. this change will now mean that my invoices will be out of compliance. will anyone else experience something similar (e.g. a change in their business process) due to this change?

Is there a way to rename “session” to “appointment” within the scheduler? I really want to be able to use the automations for the scheduler, but feel like the word “session” is confusing or at least not the terminology I would like to use for my business type. Is there any way around this or is this something that has been requested before? For example, the reminder email looks something like this:Subject: Your upcoming sessionHi First Name,This is a reminder that you have an upcoming session scheduled. Please view the details below and reach out if you have any questions.Session name: Name HereWhen: Date HereDuration: Time HereYour comments: Comments Here I would like it to be something like this:Subject: Your upcoming appointmentHi First Name,This is a reminder that you have an upcoming appointment scheduled. Please view the details below and reach out if you have any questions.Appointment type: Name HereWhen: Date HereDuration: Time HereYour comments: Comments Here I send all of my

In the past week and a half, I've had two separate fraud attempts on my HoneyBook Balance debit card. I don't use this card for shopping or transactions at all, I only have it because it's the only way to transfer money out to my actual business bank account. So imagine my surprise getting texts like this out of nowhere:"CVV verification failed for the HoneyBook debit card ending 4584. Please try again."The second alert (today) was for the NEW card number I was issued and a much larger attempted transaction. When I contacted support, I was told this is an industry-wide issue where fraudsters use automated tools to guess and test card numbers, and that it's not a breach of HoneyBook's systems. They confirmed both times that the transactions were blocked before going through, which is good.... But the second time around the same thing happening again... left a bad taste…  A few things I wish I'd known / things that might help others:The texts from +1 (415) 463-1453 are legitimate HoneyBoo

Does anyone have a workaround for connecting their projects to their companies? I understand we can connect to the contacts but I’m looking to create a custom field within each project where I can connect a company name so I can track how many projects I have within each company. Ideally, this would be a field where I can auto-populate it like we do when we add a contact name to a project. I’m looking for this to be readily seen once I open the project. rather than client facing, I am more interested in internal workflow. Thanks.

I stumbled across pay link last night by accident when I was trying to assist a client that could not get access to the pay invoice page. I sent him a link and it worked like a charm. Now I cannot find it and the help page about how to create one is not clear about where to go once you are inside of the client's project page to create one for them. Can someone please help with a clear step by step??

Is anyone else having issues in brochures? I can not type without refreshing the page anytime I add something because it starts glitching and flashing the text I just added.  I am using Google Chrome.

HoneyBook Team, I am begging you all to stop updating the Payments Reports format without a change log. Every single month a new column is added, deleted, or renamed and it's been seriously messing with our bookkeeping. I have to play sleuth to find out what's been changed and reformat our entire year's spreadsheets

I have a contract template where I want multiple people to be able to initial certain sections, and sign the agreement. I can’t get it to work the way I would expect (require initials and signature for 1st signer, and require initials and signature for 2nd signer.) I reached out to support and was sent the below process. Apparently I will need to intercept the contract after it is signed by the first signer, make modifications to it, and then add the 2nd participant to the project and separately send it to them for signature. There doesn’t appear to be a way to make an initials block required for the specific participant - if it’s marked required it has to be completed by the first signer. I was wondering if anyone has a better approach for this? BTW, Docusign could do this but I don’t want to use Docusign. From HB support:To have the first client initial and sign before the second client on an agreement template in HoneyBook, you should follow these steps:Scroll to the bottom of the c

Hi friends!I’m in love with the new Gallery feature. When sending the final gallery to a client I would love to see an option to add clients to the email without adding them to the project! For example, in Pictime, when you share your gallery there is a section to add “main clients” to the account.  The email sends off the gallery to the emails and on the back end you can decide if main clients are allowed to download or anyone who has the link. It’s like a completely separate area to any client info being shared (I hope I’m explaining this correctly).I’m finding if I add an additional email to the “your gallery is ready!” email then that person is added to the full project.  This means they has access too all previous info sent. NOT COOL :(This is the only downfall I’m seeing within the new feature & would love to see updates to this sooner than later as it is a privacy factorThanks so much!-N

In Australia by law we are required to show pricing including GST, but on my lead form where I display service options for client to choose from, it's only showing the ex-gst price. If I change that price to include gst, then when the invoice is created it will add GST a second time, as the invoice needs to display the GST componenet. We really need (by law) to be able to display the GST inclusive price when showing price of goods and services. Can you please update the pricing field to be the total incl. GST or show Price breakdown before the invoice stage. I can’t use the forms as is. Thank you!

So the membership increase when I started back in 2023 was somewhere around $188 and now has jumped up to $588. This is wild! Like I never asked for AI assist to be a part of my daily operations and yet I am paying for all these tools I never asked for or need. My proposal is that there be two different tiers. One with AI assist for those who would like it as part of their operations, and one tier without the AI assist, as not everyone running a business needs that.  To the community, what are your thoughts?

I just logged into HoneyBook today and noticed they’ve added galleries, and I’m really curious to hear everyone’s thoughts!I’ve been using ShootProof for over 10 years as a photographer, and I currently use it for both gallery delivery and long-term archiving. I love how easy it is to set up a gallery and quickly send it off to a client, so I’m wondering how HoneyBook’s galleries compare.A few questions I have: Is the gallery feature included with the current HoneyBook membership, or is there an additional fee? Are galleries able to be archived long-term, or is this more designed for smaller projects and quick delivery? How does the client experience compare to ShootProof? I actually already sent a gallery out through HoneyBook today, and I have to say the convenience of having everything in one place is really appealing. I’d love to hear from photographers who have tested it out!

When we “Create draft email” via an Automation, we cannot include a Smart File and still be able to edit the email. It seems we instead would have to manually draft each email and attach the Smart File, and thus can’t use an Automation. Are there workarounds to this? Thanks!

I’m a bridal hair and makeup service company - I want to add a team member to a project so I can clearly see who’s assigned to it, but not allow them to have access to it. It’s essentially just adding their name as another header when looking at the project overview, so I don’t have to click on each project and look at the notes to see which artist is assigned to the booking. Is there any way to do this???

Ran into an unexpected limitation today and I wanted to flag in case others have hit it too.I have a session type with "Clients can reschedule" and "Clients can cancel" both toggled ON. When a client books it themselves through my scheduler link, it works exactly as expected. Reschedule and cancel links show up in the confirmation and reminder emails. But when I manually schedule a session from within HoneyBook (picking that same session type for a specific client), the resulting calendar item doesn't get those permissions. The reminder email still includes the line about rescheduling or canceling "using the link below," but there's no link. There's also no option in the manual scheduling flow to turn reschedule/cancel on for that individual session. It just defaults to off with no way to change it at creation. This ended up confusing a client, who got a reminder email referencing a reschedule link that didn't exist.Has anyone else run into this? Is this expected behavior, or a bug? Would

I have searched the knowledge base and cannot find the answer to this.  We now have the integrated SMS text feature within our honeybook project portal but I am unable to add the SMS Consent checkbox to the phone number smart field area on my initial contact inquiry form. What am I Missing?Help!

Hello! Been using the Floorplan feature, and wondering if there is a way to rotate tables or other items?

Is it normal to have a significant delay to use new custom fields? To link a revised smart field into a Template, we’re consistently finding it takes about 3-5 minutes after we save changes and refresh the page before we can access and Link.Wondering if this is typical? Or maybe something I’m missing that I could fix? Thanks so much!kate

It used to be so convenient. I could log time as I went and then select all the time and create an invoice with it. Now I have to create projects and track time in two separate platforms. It’s going to take me twice as long to create invoices.

I’m excited Honeybook rolled out gallery feature. I’d love to see it support downloading the entire gallery for my clients sake. As a wedding photographer, my clients can’t download individual images.

Hello,Is anyone able to provide guidance regarding the calendar? Why when I make a project for a certain date and have received a deposit and a signed contract, it doesn’t show up directly on the calendar?

When I check off a task in my client portal, I have to scroll ALL the way back down to the middle of the page to click the approval button. PLEASE FIX THIS.

Hey HoneyBook team,I know this has been discussed many times, but I’m going to bring it up again!Currently, when a client submits an inquiry through an embedded HoneyBook lead form, the confirmation redirect and any tracking pixels only fire after the client clicks the "Done" button on the confirmation screen. In practice, a significant portion of clients close the tab or navigate away after seeing "thanks, we got your message" without ever clicking Done. This creates a real problem for anyone running Google Ads, Meta Ads, or GA4 conversion tracking. The conversion event never fires, so Google Ads has no signal about which clicks turned into leads, which means the campaign can't optimize for conversions at all.I confirmed with HoneyBook support that the only current workaround is to use the "Lead form submitted" automation trigger to send an email and track that as a conversion proxy. That works, but it's tracking email sends instead of actual form submissions, which is roundabout and l
