Can I cancel the 2nd payment only?

Hello!

I book weddings and future events through HB, when clients book me they are required to pay 30% upfront as a non-refundable deposit and the remaining 70% 15 days before the event. I just had my first event cancellation, I just want to be sure that by turning off her autopay and archiving the event the second payment will be cancelled? I don’t want her receiving a reminder email 6 months from now.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Sarah! I’m so sorry you had your first event cancellation :/ good thing you made the 30% upfront deposit non-refundable. You would have to turn off the autopay and expire the file before you archive it, I believe. I always do all three steps just to make sure and haven’t had any issues - turn off autopay, expire the file, and then archive. Hope that helps!
