Re. custom archive reasons: I am able to create custom archive reasons within a single project, but noticed these new reasons do not carry over across projects. Is there a way to alter the archive list across projects in a more permanent way? This would be a helpful feature for us to track leads and adjust our plans for lead generation in a more customized way.

@Meg O'Leary -  Great question—custom archive reasons are a fantastic way to get deeper insights into why projects leave your pipeline. Here’s what I’ve found from HoneyBook’s release notes:

Custom archive reasons
Now, you can add your own reasons for archiving projects, beyond the reasons pre-loaded to your account. This update gives you more detailed insights into project histories and helps you identify archive trends. help.honeybook.com

How it works today

  • When you archive a project (via the Stage dropdown or bulk-archive action), you’ll see a list of reasons—and an option to Add custom reason.

  • Any custom reason you enter here is saved to your account and becomes available in that dropdown for all projects going forward.

What’s not yet possible

  • There’s currently no standalone “manage archive reasons” page to edit or delete your list in one place.

  • To adjust your archive reasons today, you need to add or rename them within the archive action of any project.

Next steps & feature request

If you’d like a more permanent, centralized way to manage that list—such as reordering, editing, or removing reasons—please consider submitting a feature request in the ideas section. When enough users upvote a request, HoneyBook can prioritize building in-account archive-reason management.
