Question

Is there a way to create an internal template only used by me but saved in the client portal?

So, I want to set up a standard template depending on the services used, that i can use in onboarding and discovery calls. I want to be able to select the template and save as, for each client. Effectively I want to be able to fill it in with fields like contact info and dates and notes about the client prior to the calls. I would like this to be visible to only me in the settings. Maybe it could serve as an ongoing client profile of sorts, that i can add to later if need me or if they want me for another service.

did i miss this tutorial, or does this not exist?

thanks!

I THINK, as long as you don’t share the doc with the clients, that you can have a doc/smart file in their project that you edit, and they won’t see it. I’m going to try that right now.

It’s a hack, but You can customize a blank contract template for this. Clean out the contract stuff, Put in the smart fields from the inquiry form that  you want in the discovery call file, and save this  in their  project. The contract template will auto populate their information. as long as you don’t share it with the client, they won’t see it, but it will live in their file -  I made a video on how to do it. What makes it a hack is that the signature stuff will still be at the bottom of the page, but again, if you do not share this file with the clients, they will not see it.

Yes, you can create a doc that pulls in their smart fields from the contact form (I used a blank contract template) and as long as you don’t share it with them, you’re good.

This is exactly what i came here for. I’d love the ability to:

  1. Have smart files or uploaded files in a project, but hidden from client
  2. Create smart files/templates that aren’t specifically Contract/Inquiry/etc. Maybe a “other” section for creating internal files.

My use case here:

Creating AOF (Allocation of Funds) documents for each project/payment. I’ve always done this, as a way for me to document the % amounts going to Paycheck, Business Spending, Tax Savings, etc. I’ve always made them in a word doc and exported to dropbox to store them.

It would be amazing to keep this all in honeybook, tied to the specific project.
