simple away to send a price QUOTE, that does not require client to make a payment, simply view the quote- then if client books, easy way to convert price quote to an actual invoice with the payment option?

Create a SERVICE BLOCK and make it VIEW ONLY. If they approve, edit the file and add the Invoice/pay page and resend.

What’s the solution for a project where you have more than one service block? As far as I can tell I can’t see the separate totals added together unless there’s an invoice page.

There is a small cart/list icon in the corner but that’s tiny and unintuitive, and actually right now I can’t even get it to reflect the price of my two service blocks.

My only solution is to enable “client selection” and have them manually select the services that aren’t even selections, they’re just both part of the project.

My other solution I guess is to cobble everything together into one service block, but that makes it really cumbersome to generate and cluttered looking.

I break out labor as a service. Then I have multiple descriptions of the labor to be performed on that job.

Next we break out material. There will be multiple materials used on jobs.

Shipping/Delivery is another “service block” that gets broken out.

What needs to happen is a simple toggle that takes and invoice and makes the entire thing a quote. It will look like an invoice with the pricing and totals but it will not have a payment screen.

Ideally, it would have an acceptance screen for them to initial or sign. At that point we could put the contract together or whatever other documents are necessary and send them invoice.

The critical thing is that this must be simple and fast for all of us. I am actaully quite surprised this wasn’t an initial design feature.

Would it be possible to add to the service blocks items an arrow that allows to expand/hide the details/description so that the quote only shows the title items with the price, with the option to expand to see the details? I am a B2B photographer, and corporations just want to see the line item and not so much details. But, it would be nice to have the option to expand to see the details below for each item. I hope I am making sense.

@kate lewis - Yes, you can absolutely do this in HoneyBook! 🎉
You can create a Service Brochure Smart File that allows your client to view your offerings and select the services they’re interested in. Once they submit their selections, HoneyBook will automatically generate a draft invoice with those choices—saving you time and streamlining the booking process. 🙌

From there, you can easily update the draft, attach a contract, and send a full booking file in just a few clicks.

👉 Here’s the full walkthrough on how it works
