Currently, Lead forms dont have the capacity to capture PDF files. Please allow this capability

Hi Rohan!
Daniel here from the HoneyBook team. Just to understand a bit more, are you looking to upload PDFs yourself to Lead Forms or for your leads/clients to upload PDFs when they submit the Lead Form?

Not sure if you noticed, but we did recently add the ability for your clients to upload files before submitting a Lead Form (here’s an article showing how). Would love to learn more about your use case so we can improve lead forms for you.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Hi Daniel,

I am talking about client being able to upload PDF files on the File Upload block in the Lead form. Currently, it doesn’t accept PDF files, even though the HB knowledge base and the support bot says it does.

Hi Rohan,
I just tried and you are absolutely correct! Seems that only smart files allow PDF upload. I just learned  that PDFs were excluded from lead forms due to security concerns. However, I am in the process of checking if we can add PDFs to lead form upload and will update you soon. Sorry to have misled you in my prior response.

Hi @Daniel888 ,

Its been 2 months now and I just tried to see if the option is now available, but it wasn’t. Do you have any update on it, by any chance? Word Doc update is also not allowed :(

THIS IS NOT SOLVED

Hi Rohan and MapleTalent Hub,

You are correct, this is not solved in the sense that you can’t upload a PDF or other file types. But it is solved in the sense that the question is answered (I know its confusing, sorry). This feature request is indeed still active and I do urge you to upvote it and even rally others to upvote it: https://community.honeybook.com/ideas/allow-upload-of-any-file-type-store-on-g-drive-2278

I have followed up on this matter and the good news is that I was able to persuade our security team to allow for this.

Thanks for helping us get better and for the time being my suggestion is to send a SMAF with an upload block using an automation.
I hope that helps!

Thats great news @Daniel888 ; Does that mean that the feature is already live or is it in development?

Hi Rohan,

Allow me to clarify, the feature isn’t in development yet, nor is it currently prioritized to be in development in the near future. Its just that before, the security team wouldn’t allow these file types without authentication. Now they are ok with it.

In order for the feature to be prioritized I urge you to upvote the feature request I linked above and rally others with you. The more upvotes the higher the likelihood it will get prioritized faster. Unfortunately we receive tens of feature requests a day, so we can’t prioritize all of them.

Hope that clarifies the matter and sorry I can’t help more than that.
