Recently purchased HB. What do I need to do to add it to my own personal website? How do you find the API key and get it integrated into your own site? I am having trouble with getting the two parts integrated.

Hi @Reagan Contreras,

Welcome to HoneyBook! It’s exciting that you want to integrate HB with your own personal website. Can you share a little bit more about what HB functionality you’re looking to add to your website? That will better help me direct you to the right resource.

The main thing our members add to their website is a contact form to gather information from potential clients—name, contact info, what they’re interested in booking you for, etc.—and funnel that info directly into your HoneyBook account. Check out this help article for more details: Using the HoneyBook contact form (click on Embedding or distributing your contact form on specific steps for adding to your website).

You can also use Zapier to automate actions between your HoneyBook account and hundreds of other online applications. Check out this article for more details: Automating tasks with Zapier

Does this help solve your question?

Thanks,

Kitzzy

Excellent resources! I will take a look at each of them to incorporate the information as I work through how to add the forms into my site. Initially, I would like to add the payment form to my site. So, I will check these other resources out to create the appropriate form and add that link.

Hi @Rachel Troyer

Glad you found these resources helpful. Since you want to add a payment form to your site, check out Lead Forms to create a custom inquiry or booking experience, which can include questions, client file upload, service selection, scheduling, or even payment. This one can’t be embedded yet, but you can add to a link on your website. Check out the Lead Forms help center collection for more details.

Hi Rachel!

I saw your inquiry on the Community feed and thought I’d pipe in - in case you find yourself stuck still.  I use Honeybook for my website development and SEO strategy business.  Feel free to reach out to me if you need any help getting HB connected to your website still. My email is hello@ivydigitaldesign.com.  It wasn't overly complicated but if you don’t know how to add things to your site, etc. it can get tricky.  Hope you are loving HB though as much as we have!

Cheers!
