I recently began switching away from Honeybook because I personally feel that the scheduling system is so behind- especially for the major price increase- it is hard to justify. However, I do enjoy the other features so I would be sad to leave. Is there a way to automate lead forms to send a contract AND invoice (proposal) based on the clients selection at booking? I see where I am given 2 different options: first, create a lead form and allow clients to pay but not sign a contract or second, allow the form to auto populate a draft invoice based on selection but not automatically send it to the client after booking. Is there really no way to send clients a personalized contract and invoice based on their selections at booking completely hands-off?
Sorry if this has already been asked or suggested - genuinely very confused on this new system haha!

Same! And I thought no big deal, I’ll just have them book with the scheduler and then on the last page tell them hey! You’re not booked yet! Check your email to finish signing your contract and pay your retainer to be officially booked. But it won’t auto-send the draft invoice template either so that’s not an option. THEN, I was like ok I’ll just have them pay as they book and then send the disclaimer like hey! You have to sign the contract in your email to be official. But they can’t pay a retainer at booking. So I officially have no options with this and I’ve paused my membership for now. It feels like such a basic thing for any CRM to be able to self-book with a contract and invoice. I wasn’t even upset at the price change at all, but once I realized I couldn’t even do something this basic and foundational for my business it makes no sense to pay that much money. I’m truly so sad about it.
Unfortunately, I just looked into this as well, and while you can send an invoice, you’re unable to send a contract. This makes it pretty impractical for booking purposes since, for me, a booking isn’t valid until I receive both payment and a signed contract.

Hey Kinsley! You can upvote the feature request for this here.
We know this is a huge painpoint and I promise you we’re working on finding a solution. I’ll share what I’ve posted in another channel about this to give a bit more context about why it’s not as simple as we’d like.
In the simplest terms, for e-signatures to be valid in a court of law, it has to be proven that the person named is the one that actually signed the document. In this digital world, that is completed by email verification. Since lead forms are public facing, in theory, a client could “sign” a contract agreeing to XYZ and then not fulfill their part of the agreement. Were you to try to take them to court, your client could simply say that it wasn’t actually them that signed the contract and you would be unable to prove otherwise because no verification took place. The team is researching solutions into the best way to allow for contracts in lead forms but are also extremely aware of potential blockers to your client’s experience were some kind of verification be needed upon lead form submission. We want to make sure that our solution doesn’t discourage your client’s from completely an inquiry or submission.
While it's not the perfect solution, here is a work around I have found. In the lead form, you are able to link a scheduler/session to a service block so they can select (or have it pre selected for them) the service, schedule their session and pay the deposit or in full (you can set the payment terms) before they complete the lead form. You can include language that states that the booking isnt fully completed until they sign the contract smartfile in the email following submission.
From there you can have an automation triggered by the submission of that specific lead form to send a smart file via email. The smart file can have the contract you need. To be even more efficient, you can include on subsequent pages things like a new client questionnaire as well as a “whats next” page. If your process includes a planning call or some sort of call before the session, you can also include a scheduler block so the can book their planning call right away as well.
