Automations & multiple options for actions

Hi! I am new to Honeybook, but curious about the best way to set up automations when there are multiple options for actions. For instance, I have a sales call in my “inquiry workflow automation”, but after the sales call there are three options for next steps: one workflow is they say yes on the phone, one for nurturing, and one if they are a bad fit client. Can you have all three options in one workflow automation, or do you need separate workflow automations for each option and then in the original “inquiry workflow automation” have a task like “Move them to next automation”.

Also, can you just manually add another workflow automation? What happens to the current workflow automation? Do you have to delete it or is there a way to complete it?

I wish there was a lot more education on the automations. ;D

I don’t have answers to everything, but I know you can manually add automations and manually move the clients through the pipeline, if that helps! I think the best way to handle this would be to manually add the automation after the phone call and you’ve assessed the client, but others might have more insight!

Hi! Honeybook Educator here.

Firstly, you can only have 1 automation applied to a project at a time. Therefore there are a few ideas for you:

1. Apply one of the 3 automations manually after your discovery call

2. Put all the steps in one automation, but turn on the "approval required" setting for the contingent steps. In this scenario, you would delete the steps that don't apply, and simply check the box to "send" the steps that do.

If you'd like my visual, sample process map let me know!

Unfortunately, at this time, you cannot move someone to another workflow after one is completed, which is why I usually set them up all in one big flow (one per offer). This is a GREAT idea for a feature request though!! Do you know how to add one here?

Lastly, if you are in the middle of an automation and want to apply a different one, you do have to delete the old to add the new.

Hope this helps!

Thank you! This is so helpful. I would love your visual, sample process map. ;D So you would go for #2? One big workflow with steps that need to be deleted?

Yes, I usually set it up like #2 for clients _that's what I'd recommend!

Can you share your email and I'll send you the process map?
