Can't Save Collaborator Info?

It appears there is no way to save Collaborator (not team member) information for use in workspaces. Why? Why do I have to add their name, email, phone, website, info in EVERY project. We should be able to just use a dropdown selection like clients. Is there a way to do this? 

I have just been adding them as a Client. But I am not sure what functions are different.

    Hey! At this time unfortunately there is not a way to save collaborator information like you’re describing. To your point, the best option at this time would be to add this person as a team member (Help Center article here).

     

    Please submit a feature request and I will be sure to pass this feedback to the product team directly as we want to make the collaborator experience easier for you all!

    I stand corrected - the product should allow for collaborator information to be saved and reused if you type in there email. See this screen recording here!
