Question

Clicking on the client's name in a project

Nutz About Mutz

So, in a project, at the top there is a thumbnail for YOU and then a thumbnail for the client. Until just now, when you clicked on client’s name, it would open a pop-up box where you could add or correct the address or phone number, and add a few extra details.

But now, when I click on the client’s name, it brings up a drop down box that shows the email address and phone number, and the options to either go to the client workspace or delete the client.

So if I need to edit something, now I have to click on the client’s name, then click on the “go to workspace” and then click on the little “edit client info” pencil next to their name.

Can someone PLEASE explain to me why HB IT seems to always think adding extra steps is the right move? This is not the first time they’ve made some really, pretty stupid “improvement” that only serves to add steps and thus time to our conducting our business.

Is this an effort to try to push for more use of the AI nonsense? I am at a loss as to who thought it was a good idea to add steps to our ability to access and edit client information. Please tell me this is a glitch and it will be corrected asap.

I agree! This seemed totally unnecessary. And I don’t know if it is only mine, but it glitches about 10 times before it will let me open the work space. The other way was very easy and simple.

Thank you for posting! We made this change last November when we launched the new Client Workspace page so that all client information, communications, and payment history can be seen in one place, regardless of how many projects they have.

@Jessica Vedder - next time this glitches, if possible, please try and get a screen recording and send to our support team at concierge@honeybook.com so that our engineering team can look into this!

I’ll pass this feedback on to our team, thank you both!
