Question

CUSTOM PRICING FOR SERVICE BLOCKS

Hello, I’m new here and trying to find some answers to create a pricing page with sub-fields in the service blocks. There doesn’t seem to be any option but a flat fee for a service.

For example, I’m wanting to charge for square footage in a range that could vary within a 1,000 square feet…ex. 2,000-3,000 SF = $250, 3,001-4,000 SF = $300. It would be nice to know if certain templates have the ability to have a service block with no initital pricing field and then have sub-services below it where I can create the different pricing ranges. If anyone has any insight into customization with HoneyBook please reach out. Thank you!!! -Michelle

@Michelle Trent - Welcome to the community! 👋

Right now, HoneyBook’s service blocks are set up with flat-rate pricing, and unfortunately there isn’t native support for tiered or conditional sub-pricing (like based on square footage ranges) within a single service item. Each service block includes one title, one price, and optional descriptions — but no built-in dropdowns or price variations.

That said, a few potential workarounds you could try:

  1. Create separate service blocks for each square footage tier (e.g., “2,000–3,000 SF – $250” and “3,001–4,000 SF – $300”) and allow clients to select the one that applies to them.

  2. Use a questionnaire in your Smart File first to ask about square footage, then manually select the correct pricing block when sending the proposal.

It’s not as dynamic as what you’re envisioning, but it can help guide clients to the right pricing tier with a little extra setup.

Also, if this kind of flexible pricing is important to your process (and I can see why it would be!), I’d definitely recommend submitting the idea in the Ideas section of the HoneyBook Community so it can be considered for future updates.
