Help Needed: Time Zone Issues with Client Consultation Reminders

Hi,

I'm having trouble with the time zone settings for consultation phone calls with clients. Despite setting my company and client project details to MST, the reminder emails sent to clients show the time in MDT instead.

I'm based in Arizona, which doesn't observe daylight savings time, so everything should be set to MST. However, when clients receive the reminder emails, the time appears as MDT, causing a one-hour discrepancy.

How can I ensure that all times are consistently set to MST for my clients and me?

Thank you for your help.

Time was set for 11a MST and the (pic of email attached) is what my client received reminding them about the call but it’s set to MDT and she was confused why I was calling at 11a and not noon?

This has happened with a couple different clients.

Hey @Jen Sawyer

Currently, unless you’re in Arizona or Hawaii, we’re in Daylight time (PDT, MDT, CDT, EDT) not Standard time.
Be sure to have your time zone setting set to MDT/MST so that it accounts for the time change. Come November we’ll be back to standard time and your timezone will automatically update to account for the hour time difference once you make this change in your settings. Here’s an article with some more information!

Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions

Hi Monica,

Thank you for your email.

I have my timezone is set to MST everywhere within Honeybook. I live in Arizona and so does my client.

However, it appears that an automatic email sent to a client here in Arizona defaulted to MDT instead of MST. I've double-checked all settings within the portal, and MST is correctly set in every area.

I understand that we are currently in Daylight time (MDT), and the issue may have occurred due to the system not recognizing Arizona's unique situation where we do not observe Daylight Saving Time. As we approach November and return to Standard time, I'll monitor to see I need to make any updates.

I still don’t understand why her automatic reminder email defaulted to MDT instead of MST.

Thank you,

  • Jen
