I’m not sure if I’m missing something, so please let me know if I’ve overlooked it and there is a simpler answer here regarding my beginning topic: client tags. I went on and listed some related things that are difficult for me now, in hopes that I can get some help with ways to currently workaround them. At the least, maybe someone else will want the same things and they can be requests.
Some feedback on Client contact info…
Recent updates have changed how I can add tags to clients. This is my main reason for posting, because I’m hoping I’m just missing something - it seems illogical how it currently works. Appreciate feedback!
- I like to see a client’s tags within the project, and be able to quickly add tags to the client. Now, even when I open the client workspace, I can’t add tags to that client. Nor can I when I search for the client’s name and open the workspace from there. Instead, I have to go to “Contacts” from the main menu, search the client within that page, and add tags within what is already a messy row of fields.
- I see that tags can be added within the project in the side bar. However, shouldn’t project tags related to a client within that project then show up on their Client Workspace?
- I don’t have the same terms/use for Project Tags as I do for Client/Contact Tags. With all the fields already available and searchable within projects, I’d much rather just have contact tags.
I miss being able to quick edit client contact info from within a project, and I’m finding the Client Workspace just isn’t that helpful, although in theory I like it.
- Also regarding quick contact info within the project, I’m not sure why their phone numbers don’t always show up on the quick view of the client contact info inside a project.
I’d like the Client Workspace better if it were more like classic CRMs - I want that contact page to be both an overview of that person and a record of our history.
- I’d like if the “meetings” showed me previous calendar events.
- I’d love to see call transactions and notes (probably my biggest need from honeybook currently - please let us sync our call softwares like Justcall or Ringcentral! Can’t truly function as my CRM without it).
- I’d like to see related contacts (colleagues within the same organization, other contacts from previous projects they were both in, or vendors they worked with - who, for my sake I find is easiest to not include most of the time, or have to add as another client and it gets messy).
- I currently tag clients with labels that will help me know what kind of business they might have with me in the future. For example, “energy industry” tagged clients help me easily find who to reach out to when it’s time for them to book OTC events. “Holiday host” etc. I then use those tags along with a copy of contact info into an excel sheet that serves some of the other CRM functions I need. I note our last communication and what they inquired about, when to reach out next, what to reach out next for, notes pertaining to our next contact, etc. I follow the schedule when it’s time for me to reach out to someone next. Those tags are really important for that! If I could find a way to schedule reminders for contacting a client based on their tags, it would be so helpful for me. Heck, I’d love to be bale to schedule an email automation with set date based on it. If this is possible now, please teach me 🙏🏻
