HoneyBook requiring 2 pmts when client wants to pay total invoice

I have my account set up to take deposits. However, when a client wants to pay the whole invoice, HoneBook forces them to pay the Deposit 1st, then they can pay the rest of the invoice. This is awkward and frustrating. Is there a setting on the back end that gives the client to option to pay either the Deposit, or the total invoice without the hassle of paying twice?

Hi there! Unfortunately, there isn’t an option for this yet. You can delete the additional payment before you send it or update it after the fact. I’m hoping this is something they will change.

If they tell you they want to pay the whole thing, you can edit the invoice so they can the whole amount and then re-send it to them.

Depending on your workflow, you can also just adjust the payment schedule before you send them the SmartFile!
