wow, having such a hard time with the UI of honeybook. Not sure how you all do it to be honest. Can someone PLEASE help me with this problem. Im trying to use live chat and no one can seem to help me and it takes them 25 minutes to type a reply.

First off, I’m sorry you’re having trouble with the UI! But don’t hang up the towel just yet.

Switch your recurring invoice template back to standard. I promise you it will show up in the list of invoices you can add to the contract page. Then once you can add the invoice, you’ll be able to switch it back to recurring (weird, but it works.) Or, you could start with a copy of the invoice template and add the contract to it instead.

Unfortunately you can’t have a client choose payment plans just yet - you’re the only one who can change payment plans from standard to recurring. But I did see this as a popular feature request.

You got this! 💪

Thanks so much regina, perfect answer. Quick question. I have two payment plans, so how should I structure this so they sign the contract then get the choice to pay one or the other?

If I were you, I’d first ask them which payment plan they’d prefer - A or B, then send them the respective invoice & contract file.

Also, it’s handy to pull your invoice’s payments recap into the contract so you don’t have to spell it out in the contract.

Honestly, I think it’s so kind you offer payment plan options. I just force everyone into the same payment schedule and don’t bother giving them options. Maybe I should be nicer. 🤣

ha, thanks again Regina, actually im not being that kind. Its an entrepreneur group, they can either pay monthly or in 6 month chunks for a slight discount. I am shocked there isnt a better option for this. I want to automate the process rather than asking them what payment plan they want, then having to load up a contract after that.

I just saw this in the feature request tab, but it looks like they are working on making it possible for clients to select a payment plan:

So hopefully this will solve the trouble you’re having and make it a whole lot more streamlined and automated whenever this gets rolled out
