How do I stay with the old automation 1.0 system?

I had no idea about automations 2.0. Have I been switched without knowing it? I logged on today to manually book a client and start the automated workflow and it’s not even a possibility! Please tell me I can still use it. If I am forced to switch to 2.0 this will be the impetus to move to the other program I have that does all of my bookings and can do automated emails as well. This was a big shock tonight! Looking forward to your answer tomorrow as I now need to get in touch with my new client to let her know why the emails aren’t going to be coming as promised. Other question...what about the 35 projects currently in the middle of the workflows? Will those continue or are they going to be cut off? I have many emails on triggers to keep firing up until the day of their session. Please tell me these are not in jeopardy too!
