How to get a private tour of Honeybook?

Hi!

I am new around here, and I have SO MANY questions (and so far, I am only using the platform for invoicing and timetracking...). It seems to be super hard to get any kind of customer service - at least I haven’t found out how to get a hold of them - so I was wondering… How can I get a private tour of the platform? I want to understand better the invoice templates, how to have y clients pay me via bank transfer instead of credit card (I added my bank info and business ownership info, and the option still doesn’t show), how can I REMOVE the payment option from the invoice, how can I merge all my timetracking entries into one entry… I would also like to have a crash course on how to use the other features. I don’t want to spend hours in watching tutorials… I just want someone to guide me briefly… Can anyone do that, and how much would it cost?

Hi @Marie-Eve Provencher ! What do you do? It can definitely be overwhelming in the beginning - and you’re definitely missing out on taking advantage of ALL the features! (Scheduling, contracts, pipeline, automations, etc.)  I’m a Honeybook Educator, and have a tutorial on Honeybook Invoices - it’s not terribly long - that you can watch for free, here:

I also recommend using the chat feature down in the bottom right hand corner. It’s a black or purple question mark in a circle. you can find help articles there as well as chat with support.

When you are logged into Honeybook’s website (not this community) there is a ? in the bottom left. Click that and there are help articles, or you can message customer service directly from there. Also, there are many HB Pros (like those above) who can help you optimize.

This is such a great community and platform and I know once you get the time to dive deeper into your account and familiarize yourself with all that HB has to offer, you’ll love how it will help you streamline your business!

 

To quickly answer the questions you’ve asked in your post…

-How to get a private tour: I know you said you don’t want to watch a ton of tutorial videos (I totally get that), but there are tons of great tutorials out there for free if there was something super specific that you wanted to learn about. But it sounds like you’re looking for something a bit more personal and tailored to what you need. I would enjoy the opportunity to give you a tour. -Having clients pay you via bank transfer instead of card: HB gives you the ability to choose this as a setting for invoices. If you watch Cassie’s video above, you’ll see this setting in action.

 

-Your bank info not showing: I believe HB will send you an email to verify your bank account connection once it’s officially connected. I believe it can take a few business days. It’s been so long ago since I’ve set mine up and I don’t set them up for my clients due to all the personal info it asks for. But I would recommend reaching out to HB’s support- they are always super helpful! And here’s HB’s help article with a video of how to do this in detail.

 

-There is not a way to remove the payment page when you have an invoice. If you are wanting to send the invoice through HB but not have the client pay through HB, you’d want to make sure the payment page is the last page on the smart file since the client won’t be able to move forward until making a payment. Then you’d want to make your client aware to not submit payment. You will then have the option to go back on the invoice and mark it as paid manually. HB gives you the option of even adding a note to state where you took the payment (paypal, stripe, etc.). This will allow you to still keep track of all payment from clients even if they didn’t pay through HB.

 

-Merging timesheet entries: There is not a way to merge them automatically. You’d have to manually adjust the entries. Meaning if you had 10 entries for one client that totaled 30 hours, you could delete 9 of the 10 entries and make the one entry show 30 total hours- you just wouldn’t be able to specify exactly what you did for each time block that you worked like you can if you keep them separate. But HB does give you the option to select the entries you want to bill for and creates an invoice with each entry as its own line item.
