I'd like to use Honeybook to both hire contractors for my business as well as have clients hire me - is this possible?

I run a quilt pattern business and I sometimes hire guest designers for my membership, I’d love to use Honeybook to organize contracts, and payments (i.e. me paying them for their services). I also work as a freelancer and clients hire me for branding and design purposes. I know that this is what Honeybook is set up for, so I don’t really have questions regarding that but I’d love if I could do both in one location! Please let me know if this is possible!

Hey @toadandsew! I totally get wanting to have everything in one place. I’ve set up things like this for clients in the past.

Generally for contractors, we manage the application, offer letter, contract, etc. using HoneyBook and then manage tracking hours and paying them using payroll software like ADP Run, Gusto, etc. (Additionally, these softwares are designed for managing employees/contractors. They’ve got the proper security to manage personnel records and can help you create and send 1099s at the end of the year. This is also where we have them submit any pay information instead of entering it into HoneyBook.

Hey there! Alina from Marketing team is here.

At this time you can only bill clients through HoneyBook. If you were to hire contractors, they’d need to invoice you separately, either through HoneyBook or their platform of choice. Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Alina
