Hello,

Can anyone help - I would like to be able to send a simple quote to customers…. No contract, no invoice just a quote… I must be missing something as I just don’t see a way to do this very simple and standard task.

Thanks

Hi @Pete Denzel,

Kitzzy here from the Education team here. Thanks for asking this question. I’d love to hear a bit more about how you’re doing this now or have in the past outside of HoneyBook, and what you include when you send a quote.

I see a few ways for you to do this in HoneyBook:

  • Create a custom project field where you can add the quote to the project details.
  • If you only want to send a quick message with the quote, you can create an email template with your standard message and use the quote project field to populate the quote price before send it.
  • If you want to send a file, create a smart file template with the details you include in your quote. This can be simple with just text blocks, maybe some images, or you can get fancier with a services block with pricing. Either way, you can include that custom project field to display the quote.

Let me know if these options help you achieve what you’re looking for.

Thanks,

Kitzzy

To echo what was said above. If you’re looking to send a ‘quote’ with no ability to pay, I would use a Smart File that has a page with a services block. That way folks can just look at the line items. Hope this helps @Pete Denzel!
