Question

Make scheduling link shorter

I thought this would be solved with the newly released functionality to create a branded subdomain, but no. Now the scheduling link I give to potential clients looks like: https://my.customsubdomain.com/schedule/6054bec9cf58580e2519a0e7. Not a huge deal if I’m emailing a link, but if I’m on a podcast and need to say the scheduling link out loud, OMG, not possible. What am I missing/doing wrong or how can I work around this without paying for a link-shortening subscription to another app? I want to be able to say “go to my.customsubdomain.com/Discovery or even my.customsubdomain.com/schedule/Discovery. Thanks.

I would also love to see a shortened link similar to other services like Linktree or bit.ly.

This is a great idea! Usually what I do is direct them to my website or link in bio where I have buttons to booking a call.

Cassie, yes, that is the logical compromise. However we are then adding in one more layer of friction to the lead gen process that they have to click in order to get to the other thing they need to click in order to schedule an appointment. I’m looking at YOU Honeybook!

Yes! I literally came here to see if a shorter version is possible!! I am trying to add it to my IG and its so long and messy looking.

Has this been fixed?

Another thing I've done is moved my Discovery Call link to a Lead Form. This way I can collect their contact info plus a few other details, as well as have a scheduler. And this way I can customize the link! It's still kind of long, but at least you can customize the back half.

I think the bigger thing here is understanding how the automations in Honeybook work. When you do, you'll likely not send a scheduling link for a new lead all alone anyway - you'd send it as part of an automation that enhances your client experience. 💪🏽
