Is there a way to “test” your booking link for Mini Sessions? I went in and changed my invoice to $0 but it is still wanting me to pay $1 in order to book.

I would like to test as previously when someone would book a mini session my entire date would show up as “busy” and I would have to manually go in and edit that. I am trying to see if it still works this way or not.

@Shelby McKimmie - I know that this is a bit behind on getting the answer over to you and that you have probably moved on. But I did want to share a bit in case anyone else is looking here for an answer.

While HoneyBook doesn’t currently have a built-in “test mode” for Smart Files or schedulers, here are a couple of workarounds you can try:

Use a secondary email address to go through the booking flow as a test client. You’ll be able to see exactly what the client experiences and troubleshoot anything that looks off.

💡 If HoneyBook is still requiring a $1 minimum charge even when you set the invoice to $0, that’s likely tied to how payment is configured. Instead, consider duplicating your Mini Session scheduler, remove the payment block entirely, and use that version just for testing purposes.

🗓️ Regarding the calendar blocking your entire day: if you’re using the Mini Session Scheduler, the availability is tied to the time blocks you set. If you only want to block off the exact booked time and not the full day, double-check that your session durations and buffer times are accurate—and that you're not using the “Hold entire day” setting by accident.

And if you'd still like to see more testing flexibility within HoneyBook, definitely drop that request in the Ideas section of the Community! The more people who ask, the more likely it is to be added. 😊
