When attempting to set multiple automations and/or automations that have timed triggers:

I have ones that i want to manually trigger but then I have a few that need to be triggered by x amount of days before project.   Essentially I have planning phases, some are move at the client pace some are at my pace and need to start at a certain time.

I set the automation run to begin x amount of days before project date however it does not show up as an option to add the run to the project.  I then attempted to set the it to a specific project type and it still did not pull up the option.  When I put it as manual trigger it adds to my list of automation run options.   I attempted a few different settings to see if I could trigger this.  Essentially you can but ...Leaves me with more questions now…. Do i need to set  a specific project type in order for it to automatically apply to my project?   or is this an actual issue that should be considered for repair?

It sounds like you need to separate them out into two categories; your manual triggers and your time based triggers. Then, create small runs for each automation.

Your time based triggered runs will not show up as ones you can manually add, they’re just going to run at the appropriate time on all projects with the type you specify. You’ll see them on the side in the workflow panel after they are triggered by the time. As you found, you can add the manual ones to start whenever you need them to!

@Katrina Naylor if your projects are already “active” BEFORE you activate a new automation, the project date specific automations will not apply retroactively.

Once an automation with such a trigger is activated, anything that fits that parameters from that point on will be considered. Hope this helps!
