Question

Multiple payment options

I’m creating a form where the client can select a package of coaching sessions. They can pay in full or make payments. I don’t know how to set that up so the payment page will show up correctly. As of now, when I select the payment option, it’s having them pay in full. Just curious if anyone knows how to fix that.

Hi @Teresa Glantz!

At the moment, you’re the one who is able to set how your client pays you: either all in one go - or in increments (whether custom payment schedule or recurring). What I’d recommend for this scenario is to create a payment schedule that works the best for the majority of your customers and have that as your go-to invoice/payment page.

If you offer discounts to those who pay in full, you can prompt your clients to send you an email that they’re happy to pay in full and then send them the original, pay-in-full invoice.

Let me know if this helps!

Tip on this:

Because HoneyBook lacks the ability for our clients to make their OWN custom payment amount as they wish, our business created a free Square account with a custom payment amount option page (HoneyBook should have this option too, but they currently don’t. Square to the rescue, I guess).

We then have a link on our payment page in HoneyBook directing clients who’d like to make a “Custom Payment Amount” to that Square page. After the client sends in their payment, we update the HoneyBook invoice manually.

It’s a bummer to have to do this, but this is working solution so far! :)

I hear HoneyBook may introduce this feature in an upcoming feature release, but we’ll see if that actually happens, I guess.
