Payment Plans + Recurring Invoice in one Smartfile?

I’m trying to figure out if this is possible to do in one smart file. I’m a web designer and here’s the scenario I’m trying to set up a client.

Client has agreed to a website proposal and is planning to do payment plans. Easy enough.

But they also want to sign up for hosting with me. I have a few different plans on that for them to select from. I need to give the client the option to select a hosting plan that will be a recurring monthly charge, indefinitely but also sign up for a payment plan that will be a set amount for the website design. Can I do that in one smart file? Or should I send one file for the hosting and one for the website design?

Also, the client asked if they sign up for a payment plan, could they pay extra one month if desired?

Hey @Anna Scovel

Currently, as you describe it, it’s not possible. However, there is a feature request you can upvote here as well as a workaround you can learn about right here.

Paying in advance is not currently an option either unfortunately. Here is the request you can upvote

Hey @Anna Scovel - I know some time has passed since you asked the question but I wanted to hop in and share an idea that popped into my mind when I read this. I am a web designer and a Honeybook Pro and I use Honeybook for my client workflow as well!

The first idea that popped into my head was to have a separate Smart File set up that can automatically send via Automation for the option to sign up for a hosting plan as an add on after they have executed their first contract package. This could work for any project as an add-on option to bring in additional income if they hadn’t thought about it before.
