Receive Notification After Package Has Been Selected

I’d love a feature where I’d receive a notification once a client selects their package.  We offer 24 hour booking incentives, but we don’t get notified when a client selects their package.  Currently after a consultation I have to manually go back into the project to see if they selected their package, then add the incentives/discount/update payment arrangements.

Hi ​@Johnathon Allen, I’m Rona from the HB team. I just checked to confirm, once your client selects a package, you’re supposed to receive a system notification, both desktop and app.If you are not getting these, please reach out to support for further assistance.

@Johnathon Allen - We do get the package selection notification in the notification center. While so while it may not be big announcement we do get notified if they have viewed our files and/or selected packages.

Here is information about the desktop notifications.

 

Maybe there is a setting that could be adjusted to help out!

Hey ​@Alicia Bauer , are you receiving these notifications when using a smart file (and not the old system)?  I’ve never received a notification when a client solely selects (and not books) a package. I receive notification once a smart file is view though. Honeybook advised that they don’t offer this feature when I asked, but if you can assist me with this, it would be much appreciated.

@Johnathon Allen - I do! in the notifications link I shared it lists out the notifications you would receive.

You may need to check your notification settings to adjust. I have inserted some screenshots below.

Thanks ​@Alicia Bauer , I see where it says “services selected” under the bullets, which is exactly what I need.  But I don’t see that actual notification in the notification center.

Hey ​@Alicia Bauer , I just ran a test to myself and this is the only notification i received after selecting my package.

@Johnathon Allen - I am not sure if it was updated and changed. I have received notifications about the selections that my clients have made. It tells me the total of the selections they choose. I don’t have any right now that I could screenshot but if one pops up I will hop back in and share the screenshot.

@Alicia Bauer yeah I'm not sure either.  Would you have time to send me a test project and allow me to select a package and tell me if you get a notification? If so, my email is jdallen82@gmail.com.

Hey ​@Alicia Bauer , I still have not received an answer from honeybook.  The chat has been looking into this issue for a couple weeks now with no resolve.  Are you able to confirm or run a test to see if we should receive a notification when a clients only selects their package from a smart file? I did a test and did NOT receive a notification. How our business is structured, if we could receive notifications when a client selects a package (and nothing else) that would help us out tremendously. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Hey ​@Rona honeybook just ran a test and they are not receiving notifications from a smart file (with packages, a contract, and invoice) when a client solely selects their package.  I also ran a test and didn’t receive a notification either.  Can you confirm that this is correct?

The expected behavior is to receive notification when a client makes a selection. If that’s not the case in your account, please reach out to support.

Hey ​@Rona can you confirm this was a smart file, with multiple packages, a contract and invoice all included in the smart file or just a file with 1 package by itself?  HB is telling me if the smart file has multiple packages, a contract, and invoice attached to it, I will not receive a notification for package selection.

@Johnathon Allen - I am not sure if this has been an update or not, my proposals include a variety of packages clients can select, an invoice, and contract. What I have received in the past is what Rona shared via screenshot. There isn’t anything that I can do or help with in your account if this isn’t the case anymore. Working with Honeybook support is the best route at this time. Sorry I can’t be more help.
