Recents slew of issues... am I alone here?!

Has anyone else had a spotty few days with Honeybook? This week has been full of issues!

  1. Project Location was not populating properly, but realize now it was because of a new Details page rollout that wasn’t ready yet.
  2. This also removed custom Smart fields I had entered from the Details page that would populate into our contracts (since been corrected), once the old Details page was back.
  3. Emails from clients going straight to regular email, but not showing up in the Project at all.
  4. And now, I have an outstanding invoice from a Proposal Sent that is not showing up as an overdue payment - leaving me to go back and double/triple check things.

What’s happening here? Since the price announcement, I feel like I’m running into MORE issues. I don’t want a fancier HB - I just want one that doesn’t glitch out!

Gmail (with my own domain) and Safari. Never an issue in the 5 years I’ve been using it, so no excuse for it to start now.

What browser are you using?

Gmail (with my own domain) and Safari. Never an issue in the 5 years I’ve been using it, so no excuse for it to start now.

So I have a gsuite and safari is my preferred browser so I can understand the frustration. In the most recent updates/developments of safari, it does not play as nice with honeybook as Chrome. I’ve put in a few support tickets that have gone to enginerring in hopes of a better safari experience. 99.9% of my UI issues were resolved when I used Chrome.   

Even though my problems were “resolved” I still requested that a support ticket was made because I hate using  Chrome.

Great. I have new clients whose emails are not showing up in their threads. The CS rep, and a support staff member, both wrote to me saying there’s nothing they can do and it’s a known issue.

 

“While I'm glad to hear that this wasn't an issue previously, unfortunately, this is a known issue that we have seen specifically with Gmail threads and how they are managed externally. 

I completely understand the concern here, however, I can assure you that this is not related specifically to HoneyBook, but rather how the threads are managed by Gmail. Essentially, a new thread is created externally and we would not be able to track those replies which is why they do not sync over to the project.”

 

Ummm… ok?! Now what?

If I understand correctly from the recent support case you shared above, an email was started outside of HB, in your or your client’s email accounts. That is to say, instead of replying to an email that did originate from the HB project, a new one was started. 
So currently our system isn’t able to pull in email data that it doesn’t have a relationship to. For it to be pulled in to a project, HB would need to have access to every email you receive in your email and then be able to discern what is and isn’t related to an existing HB project. We’ve heard this requested a bunch and while we don’t have anything developed yet, we’ve been exploring ways that we could potentially scrape email accounts and find related messages so things like this don’t happen!

No - sorry for the misunderstanding. The client is replying to my message sent in Honeybook. They are not starting a new thread or creating a new message. They are replying to my messages, and the messages are not showing up in their thread. 
 

I wouldn’t expect HB to be able to pull a new message and put it in the portal 😉
