Question

Scheduler not blocking time for inquires

We are trying to utilize the scheduler for all team members and appointments since we are all using one space. Some appointments are for booked clients and some are new leads. According to help center, the scheduler only blocks the time if a contract is signed and not for inquires. This seems strange and I would love to know if anyone has a work around??

Hi @Laura Walter

The scheduler should create a calendar event by default - and therefore block your or your team members’ availability for the appointment time, regardless of whether they’re a lead or a signed client. The key is to make sure that your and your team’s calendars are properly synched with HoneyBook, so HoneyBook can read your availability and doesn’t double-book you.

I’ve searched the Help Center and I think the confusion might stem from Booked vs. Tentative project - or the project date. You can set a scheduler session date to act as a project date by turning on the toggle in the screenshot below, in which case, the booked vs. tentative project rules might apply.

However, if you just want it to be a call (e.g. a discovery or an onboarding call), don’t turn that on and the scheduler will see these sessions as regular meetings, blocking time off for them by default.

Let me know if this helps resolve the issue!
