Scheduler syncing to my honey book calendar

I love our calendar and our scheduler, I do wish they would sync. I would like for clients to not be able to schedule a consultation call or anything on a day where I am booked or just have something scheduled on my calendar or a time frame if I am already booked. As of now I have to manually delete the day or time and it throws me off a bit. Unless it already does this and I am not aware but as of now I would love if we could consider they be synced in that way!

Hey, have you integrated your calendar in Honeybook? Go to Company Settings/Integrations/Calendar to see if you’ve integrated your calendar yet. This way, you don’t have to constantly modify your calendar.

For example, if I add a dentist appointment to my iCal, it automatically blocks out my availability on my HB scheduler so nobody can schedule a session.

Only trick is, make sure the calendar event you create is listed as ‘BUSY’, not ‘AVAILABLE’! 😉

Hey Ashley!! It sounds like you haven’t set it up correctly cause they do work the way you’re requesting them too! You should NEVER have to go in and change availability or delete availability from the scheduler (that kinda defeats the point of automated scheduling) - as Regina said, make sure you actually synced your calendar. Under that settings icon (the gear) within calendar you can sync your external calendar such as Google, iCal, Outlook, etc. and you can tell HoneyBook what calendars you want to check for “conflicts”. Then, once something gets booked, it will remove that availability from your scheduelr.

Important note though - make sure you’re putting all your personal events ON your external calendar so it truly reflects your availability. Ie: if i have a date night with hubby, a doctors appointment, a coffee date with a friend and I don’t want to take calls, all of that gets put onto my Google marked as “busy” and then it removes that availability from the scheduler. Hope that helps!!
