I am trying to set up a contract. I have one that a lawyer created for me but the Signature block on the lawyer’s version is in the middle of the contract. Shouldn’t the signature block be at the very end of the contract?

Yes- is there an addendum after his signature block? Or a “section”?

Michael Miller

No addendum. He added a place to sign the contract then AFTER the signature is a bunch of other stuff he listed as Service Terms & Conditions. Shouldn’t the signature be after that so that someone can’t claim that they didn’t see those terms??

When you transfer it to HB, the signature is on the bottom.

but curious if the terms/conditions are another format for you to use? You don’t need a signature for terms/conditions. Just acknowledgement that they saw it

Right…. I wanted to add a block where a client would be forced to put their initials to acknowledge the Terms & Conditions, but when I add them AFTER the signature block, I have to add them as TEXT in a new section. The TEXT section does not provide a way, that I am aware of, to force the initials…. So, I am thinking I will need to move them (Terms) to before the signature block.

When I transferred the agreement I tried to force it to have the format that the lawyer set up. Probably(?) not necessary.

No. You’d have to do a new page

OR

put the terms and conditions for before the signature and have them initial that section.
