For future users easy of use of Honeybook...I am looking for A condition that is if someone reads my email that I sent in the automation there need top be a condition that would then move to yes or no choice automatically. And I can use this automation with any project (not having to create a project template file to send). I am wanting Honeybook to work harder for me, Not me work hard for Honeybook.

Hi Doug!

This sounds like a great idea but I wonder if there is no way to implement this. What constitutes an email as “read”? A lot of times I’ll check my email from my phone and if I click on one, it “opens” and I'll either mark it as back as unread or use the remind feature on on iPhone to follow up.

“If email was opened” might work but I can see that being problematic as well.

I think a great function would be whether or not the email was responded to?

Ashley,

Great POV, I can see where you are coming from👍

In the situation that I have, once a client opens automation email I would like it to move directions and flow into another automation. If the email is not opened then the current automation would continue as designed until an email is opened or the the end of the current automation is reached.

😮THEN again, once the end is reached of the current automation I would like it to transition over to another automation automatically.

I know it may be too much to ask the wizards of honeybook to deliver on🤠

Absolutely get it! Right now the only way to achieve that is if a smartfile is sent and you can use the conditional logic of whether “file viewed” or “file completed” so certain actions can be taken based on if its a YES or a NO.

I changed my onboarding email recently to be sent as a smartfile for a couple of reasons.

  1. if they they don’t view it, it automatically follows up
  2. I can see how much of it they have gotten through or what they have read
  3. its created a more interactive experience and I would say it has improved the information retention rate significantly!

Yea I see that path, but I was looking for a very basic simplistic fashion to accomplish this action.

I feel it could be something useful in some situations (not all as information retention is good for many).

I am asking since I have seen a need in my own simple application. If I don’t ask the answer is always no.
