Hello,

I am wondering if anyone else knows this. Can I create a 'subscribe' button on a Honeybook inquiry form? Then subsequently know which clients accept receiving emails from me? I would like this to be a simple checkbox in the Client table. I see that I can do this with a smart field, but it’s limited and doesn’t have a ‘checkbox’ as a question type.

Thanks,

Yes—you can collect email opt-ins through HoneyBook, but there are a couple of nuances to be aware of!

✅ What You Can Do in HoneyBook:

  • You can add a custom question to your inquiry form asking, “Would you like to subscribe to our email list?”

  • While there isn’t a checkbox field option just yet, you can use a short answer or dropdown field to gather that info.

  • This info will be saved in the project details, but it won’t appear as a checkbox in the Client Table automatically.

🎉 But here’s the great news:

HoneyBook now offers a direct integration with Flodesk—so once someone submits your inquiry form, you can automatically add them to a Flodesk audience segment.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Go to Company Settings > Integrations > Connect Flodesk.

  2. Once connected, you’ll be able to map your inquiry form fields (like name, email, and your custom opt-in field) to corresponding Flodesk fields.

  3. From there, Flodesk can tag or segment subscribers based on their answers—and send them straight into a welcome sequence or email list. 🙌

So while HoneyBook forms don’t have a checkbox UI yet, this direct integration makes email collection much easier and streamlined if you are interested in using FloDesk. If you want to check it out you can use my code ALLYBESIGNS to get 50% off.
