For years, every time I got an email from a client, or one of my own emails was copied to my Gmail inbox, I would see the body of the message, then a brief, slightly transparent/medium-grey message at the bottom with something like, “See more messages in your project pipeline”, with a hyperlink to the client’s workspace.
For starters, this was extremely helpful to me. I could go right from my inbox to the project with one click. Now, I have to open Honeybook in a new tab and search for the project manually. Sure, it’s only a few seconds, but multiply that times the 1,000s of emails we send through Honeybook during a year, and it really adds up.
Secondly, I have no idea how my clients can access their own client portal now! I always used to say something like, “You can access your client portal by clicking the link at the bottom of any of our emails.” But now, it will be as if they don’t even have a portal. And yes, I know that I can manually send a link to the client portal from their workspace, but that’ll quickly get lost in their inbox. It’s a one-time thing that I’ll have to re-send every time they want to access their workspace or I want them to access it.
Can we bring back those links at the bottom of emails?? I’m struggling to think of a reason why removing them is an improvement -- it just seems like a backwards step to me with regards to convenience for me and my clients.
