Hi All. I provide content creation services for events and businesses alike. I’m trying to streamline the process for when a business owners (currently a music performer) is in a contract with me but will be invoiced per individual booking. The bookings will be sporadic and invoice separately each time, but I wondered if there was an easy work flow or honeybook template that addresses this kind of situation. I’m thinking a contract that is all inclusive of perpetuity until the agreement is ended in writing, rather than a specified date. Currently I have them in a contract that specifies the location/date for the booking one by one and go in and edit and re-sign the contract with a new invoice as well for the new bookings. I may have to come up with a template on my own. I’m not sure what’s the best route, I hope that makes sense.

Hey Malanee -

Thanks for reaching out! From what I can tell from your post, the problem you’re trying to solve is how to send a contract that is fulfilled based on number of bookings vs. specific end date?

I must caveat, while we cannot give legal advise, our retainer contract template might be a good starting point. Retainers traditionally are based on a start and stop date, but you could adjust it so that it’s quantity of bookings and not tied to specific dates. That said, you should always consult with a legal professional to ensure this would work for your business.

Another template worth investigating that we recently launched is the social media management contract, with the same edits suggested above. This one may help you outline the services included more than the previous one. Again, I would encourage you to make adjustments and work with a legal professional to make sure it works for your business goals.

I hope this helps!

Casey
