What is the best way to send a PDF as a response to a contact form?

I have an automation set up when I receive a contact form, I send an email with a PDF included but some people have told me this goes to spam so I’m not sure I’m doing this the right way.

Is there a better way to share this PDF to the people signing in my contact form?

Thanks!

Hi @Violeta Rangel – I’m not 100% sure if this solves it but, could you share a link instead of the PDF itself. For example, in my brand design biz I use Google Drive a lot (for everything), and I also send folks a PDF once I package up their logo files. Instead of attaching the file itself, I copy a share link to the PDF where it lives in my drive.

Let me know if this is helpful. Perhaps try this and test it with a current client or a friend to see how it work 😊

Hi there! I wonder if this could be better done with the use of a lead form?

What is in your PDF?

Something new I am doing is utilizing lead forms over contact forms. Historically I had a contact form that had an auto responder with what to expect and  link to schedule a call. I too would sometimes run into an issue with deliverability , so this is what I am doing now:

I have a lead form  that collects the same info and has a scheduler on the same page ( I do not make the scheduler required) . The button that takes them to the next page on the lead form says “what’s next”. The 2nd page has a lot of the info I previously had in my autoresponder email but I also expanded what actions they can take.

Depending on the contents of your PDF, it might be a great thing to design into the lead form, or link it like I have done. You can even add a note here to check spam folders.

Here is where I take it up a notch is with Automations 2.0.

I have an automation linked to this form.

IF they book a call it follows one workflow, if they DO NOT book a call, it follows another set of actions or conditions.

either way, you can even simply have an automated email that reiterates whatever info and has the pdf attached.  Its a bit of a redundancy but acts as a safety net in getting your potential client the resources you want them to have.

Hope this helps!
