Does anyone use the collaborators or workspace feature for their subcontractors?

I’m trying to collaborate and love that there is a workspace but that workspace info doesn’t transfer over to the actual project. It almost like having two separate projects. 

I tried assigning a collaborator/freelancer on the actual project and cannot edit their view settings or preferences. I was just informed that all “Company Types” have the same access just different titles and their viewer/feature settings cannot be modified. 
 

Any input would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏽

Sorry, I don’t have an answer for you. I am struggling with the same issue (I think). I want to add a participant to the workplace, but I don’t want them to have access to all of the conversations. I want the new participants to have access to the emails communication we exchange since they came into the workplace.

What kind of collaboration are you needing to do with your freelancer? What kind of visibility would you like them to have (or not have) into the existing project?
