Would anyone else benefit from having a multiple payment option on the lead forms?

I host photo shoot minis every so often and I love that I can set up a lead form for them to go and sign up for a time slot, etc. but when they go to pay, HoneyBook doesn’t allow me to have multiple payments. They would have to pay their session in FULL.

The reason I don’t want to charge the full amount is for some reason if they need to cancel, then they are just out that first payment (the retainer or deposit).

Right now I have to set up a contact form instead, have each client, inquiry and then they pick their time slot and then I have to email over the contract and invoice, wayyyyy more time PER CLIENT. Having multiple payments on the lead forms would allow my clients to go and pick their time and just pay their deposit and then the final payment be due on the due date. Way more hands of and stream lined.

Curious if this would help anyone else.

Hey Raquel!

There’s a good conversation here about how users work around this :)

For now- as a workaround, when they inquire, send the scheduler, service, invoice, and contract ALL in one document. ONE step after they inquire instead of many.

I'm curious about the response of sending it after the inquiry, how would that work if you'd like it to be an instant booking. Like how it's done in Pixieset, Session, Sprout Studio, Pixifi - I've sampled/tried them all and it's an all-in-one process rather than an after the fact (after an inquiry) process. How can I go about allowing multiple payments on the instant booking lead form? Without having to go back and send them anything or without having to use another platform. I'm curious about this with regular sessions also? I want clients to have a hands-off approach to booking if they'd like initially, and then I will reach out. I'd rather not have to use another platform for booking. Curious what everyone else does instead of having automated emails sent after an inquiry. Trying to figure out if Honeybook was now the right choice after all for what I need.
