Graphic Designers: Do you send your files through Honeybook?

Hey y’all! I’m a graphic designer and usually send smaller digital marketing files through HoneyBook with no problem.

But last night I sent out a rush project at 10:30 PM... and woke up to see it never went through 😩. Looks like there was a network issue?

Just wondering—has this happened to anyone else? I’ve never had issues before, but now I’m low-key nervous about relying on HB email for time-sensitive stuff.

@Crystal Preyer - Ugh—I totally understand how stressful that must’ve been, especially under a deadline! I’m a HoneyBook Pro and a designer too, and I do regularly send proofs and other digital materials through HoneyBook.

If you're ever worried about a file not going through—especially late at night when you’re not around to double-check—I recommend including a Dropbox or Google Drive link in your HoneyBook email. You can even set the file to auto-download or preview so your client gets quick access without delay.

Also, I’ve found that building my deliverables into Smart Files has been a game-changer. I use them to present proofing concepts in a polished, branded way—and my clients can easily view, approve, or comment all in one place. It feels professional and helps reduce email clutter or tech hiccups.

That said, if you suspect a one-off network issue, definitely flag it to support just in case. But you're not alone in feeling a little nervous when timing is tight—I’ve been there!

Let me know if you want help setting up a Smart File for proof delivery—I’d be happy to share how I use mine. 💛

Hi Alicia,

Thank you for reaching out.

Yeah, that is a good idea to also include a Dropbox or Google Drive link as well. Thank you for that suggestion!

I’m curious how you use Smart Files for proofing concepts? I guess I don’t understand the full potential of Smart Files.

Thanks,

Crystal

@Crystal Preyer - I can give you an example how I use Smart Files to to send a brand proof.

I have a template created that I change out the design for each of my clients. Each page has a different portion of the comprehensive brand design. (I also have a template in the Honeybook Smart File Template shop for a brand proof questionnaire. You can view it here.)

Essentially on each page I have an important part of the comprehensive brand, the color palette, mood board, logo mockups, style tile, etc. Then I have space where the client can provide feedback or approve. I also include a video of me walking the client through the concept and link it within the Smart File before they leave feedback so they can understand my design choices.

This way they can provide feedback or they can approve the design and it all stays within HB.

I hope this helps!
