As an account owner it baffles me that I cannot add/edit/delete team members bookings/calendar. Or am I missing those features somewhere?

The $30/mo + $6 payee is is a bit steep for someone who only uses the occasional contractor to cover wedding events.  That works for W2 employees and staff, but not contractors who are intermittent and might only work 1-2 wedding events a year.  Other payroll platforms offer more suitable options in their product lineup to allow for “contractor-only” option like Gusto, etc.

How do I apply apply a partial cash payment without having to change the payment schedule/contract to be approved?  Client is paying ahead but it’s only partial payment.  I need to keep the payment schedule there as it determines my refundable funds vs non refundable funds should a contract get cancelled…. THanks!

Lately my VA and I have been having trouble with some outdated features in Honeybook that aren’t quite fit for multiple team members to interact with.Thus far the big issues we’ve run into are:(For context my VA has Super Admin permissions- the highest permission level available)We can’t edit each other’s Honeybook Calendar Events. A client scheduled a meeting with me and it created a duplicate project. When my VA signed in to try to clean everything up and delete the wrong project and then reschedule the meeting correctly, it created the meeting for the VA and assigned it to the VA. They could not assign the meeting to me. When I tried to go in and fix it from my account, same issue- I could neither delete nor assign a meeting or project in the calendar view for my VA.  Inability to edit a calendar event has also been an issue when a client wants to reschedule with me. Within the last few weeks my Pipeline (which I’ve always had sorted chronologically by event date) suddenly pops up in a weird order, possibly by most recent contact or inquiry date. It’s admittedly a tiny bug in the grand scheme of issues, but it just started doing this and I can’t figure out how to revert to the chronological sorting. 

As a user, I want to be able to use dates payment were made in automated input fields. This is so that I can use those dates as milestones for contracts and possibly other forms/emails.  Business Value: Many clients pay before due dates, so while you can choose the due date as an input field, or field source, if the client paid early, the contract became enforced on that early payment date. Hello, I am setting up an automation.  In the processes I have follow ups for when clients don't answer to an email/smart file where the smart file gets sent again. During test runs when the smart file is sent a second time, it also duplicates the file in the customer portal; there becomes two of the same file. This is redundant, sloppy, will absolutely cause confusion, and is honestly just a bad look for both my business and for honeybook.  I have spoken with customer support and the answer is basically “we know, deal with it.” (I’m paraphrasing, they were polite but there is no real solution at present moment).  This would make more sense if emails were sent in a chain and customers could reference the last email right there, however, everything is sent as a separate email.  I understand that customers can go into the customer portal and click on the file -- let’s be real though, this is completely off-brand simplicity, brand convenience, and there will absolutely be people

WARNING: VENT AHEADI don’t know what’s going on at Honeybook over the last few weeks, but I’d really like someone in charge to address issues that I’ve been experiencing… and I know I’m not alone. Can anyone from management chime in?I’m frustrated and the last straw for me came this morning when I received notification that someone was trying to join my Zoom. Odd as nothing was on my calendar, so I reached out to him.  Turns out he was trying to join a meeting from an email he just received from me. He sent me a copy of the email dated YESTERDAY… it was regarding an event I held on January 8th.  Now mind you, this was sent as a bulk email through Honeybook on January 7th to all who were to attend my event. I had a higher than normal no-show rate, and now I understand why.  I repeat, he received the email yesterday. And before the argument comes that we cannot control other’s email systems, there is more..

Can I add my own category when doing my expenses. There are so many categories that you ar missing for a running a small business from subscriptions to software, from auto expenses beyond gas to equipment. Your drop down list is very limiting.

Hello, I constantly get clients who did not receive our company emails because of spam. Is there a way we can include text messages in our workflow/pipeline. This can help us land more clients who are more text savvy as opposed to the old school email. I also notice in my area other companies do not do this and it will give us an extra edge to land more business. It can also help Honey book attract more business if this service was offered as well. We all win if we can add text messages.

Recently when I’m viewing emails on Gmail, I haven’t been able to see any of my responses. So I looks like my client is just talking to themselves.I always respond to emails in HoneyBook. Then I’ll clean out my inbox in Gmail to confirm I’ve answered everyone. Sometimes I open an email in HB and don’t have time to answer and I can’t mark it as unread (which I’ve brought up in this community before)...so I do that in Gmail. But now I can’t even see if I’ve answered it in my gmail.I feel like theres been a few random updates like this lately and its honestly making my work process more annoying. 

Hii!  im working through all of my client’s automations right now. In old automations, you were able to select conditions such as “before” project date or after project date. I think it would be WILDLY helpful for those conditions to be in automations 2.0. I know you can do that when starting a new workflow, but I thought a major point in doing 2.0 was so you’d basically have 1 workflow rather than 3 like I do in old automations.  any solutions?!

I am a new Honeybook user.I created a lead form which I have embedded on my Website. It includes a question “What type of photography are you interested in?” It is a drop down question with 4 options:Companies Schools Personal OtherBased on the response to that question, I want to be able to set up an automation that will send specific smart files (questionnaires) to the prospect client types, e.g. a questionnaire for companies, schools, personal etc.I was told by the Honeybook AI that this is not possible to do? It said there was no way to do a condition/branching based on a drop down question.It then tried to steer me towards using automated tags as an option, but when I investigated that, there is no way for me to create the specific tags tied to those responses in my drop down.The AI bot then recommended I create separate initial intake forms on my Website based on those 4 client

Over the past 7-10 days I have only been receiving inquiry emails from the system. Everything else, from payments, contract signatures, discussions; nothing is making it to me. Nothing in spam, just no delivery at all it seems.

I am new to Honeybook and am trying to determine if there’s a way to edit:That gray border line that appears around my embedded form. I do not want it appear at all but cannot see how to remove that option. Whether or not there’s a way to realign that Submit button so that it’s not always right aligned? Ideally I’d want it to be aligned to the right edge of my text above or center aligned on the form. 

Hello, I’m a makeup artist, and I send out a monthly countdown via ‘smart files’ and emails to my brides once they book with me. This countdown starts at 6 months and continues from there. My question is—if a bride books with me at the 4-month mark and I assign the attached automation to her project, will the automation pick up at the correct month based on when she signed on? Or would it not activate since it’s set to begin 6 months before the project end date? I’d like to avoid creating multiple automations and accidentally triggering different ones simultaneously for the same client. Additionally, will the regular automations eventually phase out, or will they remain active? I just want to be sure before making the switch to avoid any mishaps! Thanks so much for your help!

Is there a way to set a default style for hyperlinks in my account? Like choosing the link color, underline, and bold. So that all links show up the way I want (for example: blue, bold, underlined) without having to change it in every single email or template?If this isn’t possible yet, has anyone found a good workaround? I wish the configuration auto-invoice generator were more dynamic so I could choose the correct invoice template depending on the client service selection in the proposal/smart file. The ability to dynamically select different invoice templates based on client service selections would definitely streamline my workflow for those different subscription options we offer.

I understand all businesses, the longer they are in business, and the more they improve, the more the cost goes up. The price increase honestly still has me SHOOK and if not for all of my financial info & client info & communication being kept in one place, I would 100% be switching platforms due to the increase. I am still wondering if it’s even worth it…BUT I still love Honeybook, and considering it’s SO difficult to transfer from HB to another CRM, I’ve decided to stay for at least another year. I was hoping with the price increase would come some awesome changes… instead, I keep feeling like these edits are purely for aesthetics or are fixing something that wasn't broken to begin with. In the old automations, I was able to send a “pre event check in” email 1 month before the project date. In 2.0 I don’t see a way to automate based on the project date.  Is that still possible or am I missing something?

I have created a new automation system to integrate since it will be easier to understand than my past one. How do I apply the new automation triggers to my past clients, without losing my current spot in their old automation trigger process?I have gotten as far as creating my new inquiry automation system, and duplicating it to make a manual version. But I am not sure where to go from there. 

We switched all our automations over to 2.0 at the end of 2025. We cancel automations once a client books a call or tour, and need to do that at least once a day. Was dismayed to learned that I can’t cancel automations in the app (per Support) - only via the Web site. That means I have to grab my laptop, which also means I have to bring my laptop with me when we travel, which is often (I find using the web site on my phone to be pretty difficult). And sometimes I can’t get to my laptop quickly enough which means an automation continues after a person has booked a tour and then it looks like I’m disorganized.I’ve made a feature request but was also advised to post here - if enough of us want this feature, it might become a higher priority. Am I the only one annoyed at the fact that it has been almost a year since we have seen changes/ improvements. April of 2025 is the last time we saw an update on the new and improved. The same roadmap has been “planned” and “coming soon” for OVER A YEAR! We managed to add emoji’s to emails… but still cant send an invoice without a payment processor, we still can’t add discounts to specific items instead of to an entire invoice, we can’t use promo codes, we have no way to note/ offer cash or check payments but woo hoo we have emojis… the price definitely went up and we saw some changes AT FIRST but it has been far too long since we have gotten any new additions ESPECIALLY TO THE INVOICE OPTIONS.
