In the old automations, I was able to send a “pre event check in” email 1 month before the project date. In 2.0 I don’t see a way to automate based on the project date.  Is that still possible or am I missing something?

I have created a new automation system to integrate since it will be easier to understand than my past one. How do I apply the new automation triggers to my past clients, without losing my current spot in their old automation trigger process?I have gotten as far as creating my new inquiry automation system, and duplicating it to make a manual version. But I am not sure where to go from there. 

We switched all our automations over to 2.0 at the end of 2025. We cancel automations once a client books a call or tour, and need to do that at least once a day. Was dismayed to learned that I can’t cancel automations in the app (per Support) - only via the Web site. That means I have to grab my laptop, which also means I have to bring my laptop with me when we travel, which is often (I find using the web site on my phone to be pretty difficult). And sometimes I can’t get to my laptop quickly enough which means an automation continues after a person has booked a tour and then it looks like I’m disorganized.I’ve made a feature request but was also advised to post here - if enough of us want this feature, it might become a higher priority. Am I the only one annoyed at the fact that it has been almost a year since we have seen changes/ improvements. April of 2025 is the last time we saw an update on the new and improved. The same roadmap has been “planned” and “coming soon” for OVER A YEAR! We managed to add emoji’s to emails… but still cant send an invoice without a payment processor, we still can’t add discounts to specific items instead of to an entire invoice, we can’t use promo codes, we have no way to note/ offer cash or check payments but woo hoo we have emojis… the price definitely went up and we saw some changes AT FIRST but it has been far too long since we have gotten any new additions ESPECIALLY TO THE INVOICE OPTIONS.

Clients should be able to update/change their cc on file for recurring payments WITHOUT us manually stopping the recurring invoice. Currently, it appears this is the process for a client to change their card info: Stop the recurring invoice from your project workspace Have your client remove their old payment method from their account Resume the recurring invoice that you stopped Your client can then add their new card This is a terrible client experience.   Please fix this and allow clients to handle the task of changing their card info by logging in once without my involvement. 

I joined HoneyBook in December and no longer see an option to create projects—I was told projects are now created via leads. If that’s the case, how are you handling returning clients who don’t submit an inquiry/lead form? I've attached my platform view for reference. Also, have email templates been moved to a different location (mine are under Company Preferences)?Trying to understand if this is a recent platform change or something specific to my account. Beyond frustrated that I now have to use automations 2.0 and there is no migration from the origional. I have multiple long automations with up to 40 steps in the old system and found out today i can no longer use any of them in new projects. Rebuilding these is a huge project to unexpectedly have to rebuild while managing client work.and if I wanted to save time "hb pros" prices have tripled from 2 years ago. Worse yet, I have a new inquiries today and have no workflow to drop them into. Through reading thcommunity forums, it looks like alot of guide and files dont translate either. If I have to rebuild contracts and client guide and automations, im looking at weeks of work as a one man team right as my year is getting busy again.  This is devastating for my business operations, my client expirience, and my time. Ive praised honeybook for years but this is a huge L and im extremely disappointed.

Hi everyone — I’m new to Honeybook and trying to create/access email templates in HoneyBook, but they’re not appearing where HoneyBook help docs or YouTube tutorials suggest.I’ve checked Templates, Create New, and inside projects under Messages/Activity, but still can’t find them. I have attached what I am seeing (My View) along with a screenshot from Youtube. Has this feature been moved or renamed? Would love to know the current path to create email templates. Thanks!

I would really like to send out a brochure within both an email and have a link to access it on my site, but I don't see a way to get a link that is sharable without me sharing the template with another HB user. Help please! I was able to just get a direct link to send to clients without needing to start a “new project” but is seems as though that function is gone. 

Hi HoneyBook Community,We’re migrating from an Excel + Make.com workflow (acting as a basic CRM) to HoneyBook as we grow. Today, our process lets us enter a unique price per customer for the same service (a “Trade Report”), then press a button to automatically generate and send the proposal + invoice.In HoneyBook, it seems like services assume standard pricing, or we have to manually edit the price each time. Our payments are split into 3 installments (deposit, 2nd payment, final payment), and each amount varies per customer.Question: Is there a way in HoneyBook to store customer/project-specific pricing (deposit/2nd/final) and use automations to generate the proposal and invoices from templates using those amounts automatically (without manual edits each time)?If you’ve solved this with service blocks, smart fields, or an integration, I’d love to hear what worked. Hello,We would request that Timezones be locked in at the Timezone set by the user.It is extremely confusing and annoying to have the local timezone where the user is logged in whilst traveling - it makes client communication very difficult and uncertain.We are a physical venue - and always operates on EST. As we, the operators travel, the timezone displayed for client meetings keeps automatically switching to where we’re located. We request a feature that allows us to just keep EST (which we’ve already selected as our preferred timezone), that would be very helpful. 

I am experiencing a problem with Scheduling in Honeybook. When I arrange an appointment with a client for, say, 10:00am ….. then I enter the appointment in the Calendar for 10:00am ….. and my timezone is set correctly to CST ….. the client gets notified that the appointment is at 9:00am. Is this a know bug? How can I fix it?Kevin

Tech savvy gal here, but I am at a loss and I suppose this is not a feature (yet?) Seems simple but it appears I can’t do this function: select multiple photos from my image library to delete at once. Currently, I have 500+ images in my library, (as a floral designer over the years, it adds up and I am trying to clean this out because it runs super slow with that many in there and yes, we have HIGH speed internet, brand new macbook- but the library takes a very long time to load and it’s because I have way too many photos in there). But I can only delete one at a time *ugh*, and that is not going to happen LOL! Am I missing something here? Thank you!

I had a thought that it would be extremely useful if a automation trigger could be added specifically for when a file expires. This would allow for more opportunities such as keeping up with files that expire triggering a task reminder to give me notice so that I can reach out to a client the same day it expires. 

I’m loving the new automation builder but have run into a snag. In the previous builder, I had “wait until 3 days before session type X” to send out a certain email. I’m not seeing before as an option anymore - only a wait until things are completed or wait a certain number of days. Anyone found a work around to that yet?

Hey yall! So today I archived all of my completed projects for 2025 so my pipeline would be clear and reset for 2026. But now my calendar is not showing those projects in 2025. I still need to be able to see when clients booked in 2025 as they are repeat and typically book the same dates. Honeybook says they clear your calendar once a project is archived. And the only way to get it back on your calendar is to unarchive each project individually to Completed and click do not track. That seems unreasonable to me. Why would anyone want their previous year calendar wiped. And how do you keep your calendar AND a clean/current pipeline? They said Honeybook is designed this way. And no one else has brought this issue forward. I didn't see that explained anywhere. And how can this accurately track stats then? If you know a better way please please let me know. So once a lead form is fired off, there is an automatic “thank you” note from honeybook that populates and says the form was successuflly submitted… but the web page that is supposed to load (which triggers a conversion ad metric) only loads if someone clicks "done".Is there a way to either make the webpage auto load without clicking done, or put my conversion code in the auto-thank you? Or what’s the workaround?

I’m submitting a feature request that I believe would greatly improve transparency and protection for business owners using the platform.I recently had a situation where a client viewed an earlier version of an invoice but did not acknowledge or sign it, despite opening the email. After the invoice was later updated (the only change was a start time), the client claimed the invoice had been “recently updated,” and there was no clear way for me to verify or show what was viewed, when it was viewed, or which version was accessed.It would be incredibly helpful to have a more detailed internal activity history on the business owner’s side that shows:• Which versions of an invoice were viewed• Who viewed them and when• What changes were made between versions (for example, Version 2 vs Version 3)• Visibility into views of older versions, even after updates were madeThis level of version tracking wouldn’t necessarily need to be client-facing, bu

I would like to request a way that we can provide discounts on certain services but not all on a proposal. I have listed on my proposal a line item (service) for security deposit, travel costs, etc. Currently, if I provide a discount to a customer, the discount is taken from the entire invoice. I am suggesting a way that we can remove certain services from receiving a discount. 

Hello, I bill hourly for most of my services. I have logged time in a project that I need to invoice for. I specifically need to invoice this time in a private team workspace. I have an invoice template set up that I would like to use for this. How do I help HoneyBook understand the time that I’m billing for is associated with the project? This is largely an issue for financial management (making sure me and my team are billing for and receiving the correct $ for the hours we’ve spent on our projects). It would also be helpful to know what time has/hasn’t been billed for the project (ie. when running the time tracker report, or invoicing for billable time). Best, Madison

As a Canadian I am required to charge taxes based on the province in which they reside. I would like to request a way of having the client indicate what province they are in and what taxes should be applied. Or that there can choose the tax rate on the invoice. It has been shared with the team, but it was suggested that I add it here to get others to also promote this.

I’m having frustrations with the new 2.0 automations. We have a very simple auto-workflow in the 1.0. I’m trying to convert that to 2.0.  We use time triggers. For example, I have a “9 month check in”  before project date and “6 months checkin” before project date that is triggered when a client is 9 or 6 months away from their date. And “thank yous” sent after project is complete. Now it seems to do that I have to create mulitple automations just to have a time trigger.  Any suggestions?

I don’t understand HoneyBook’s growing obsession with putting an AI feature on everything. Originally, you could toggle these options off. Now, you can’t. You’re stuck with an AI block hovering above every email you type, whether you use it or not. I HATE these AI features. They do nothing for me - and nothing for you except make you sound like a generic ChatGPT bot. If I received one of these fake emails as a client I would move on so fast. Clicking on one of them by accident pisses me off every time, then I have to delete its stupid generated email and start all over on what I was doing.I’m SO incredibly disappointed that there is NO WAY to get away from all this useless AI! I will never ever ever use these AI features and should be able to turn them OFF.  This is on TOP of the endless (and I really do mean endless) glitches that come up when using the platform after their major update earlier this year. Has anyone had this happen. Client filled out a lead form on their phone, never hit the send button at the very end of the form. She thought she had schedule the appointment. Online the last button says “submit” but when they use their cell phone it's just a little arrow very easy to miss. This did not go well and could not be saved. Does anybody have a fix that you know of?
