Hi Honeybook Community! I’m Nicole the owner of n/volve collective, a brand and website design studio that LOVES all things business and design. I’m based in South Florida and work with entrepreneurs and business owners across the US.

I started my business as a “side hustle” after getting laid off from my event planning and marketing job at a luxury magazine in 2020. It started with building a new brand from the ground up, a gym in South Florida, and I worked on everything from interior design, the website graphics, marketing materials, social media, customer journey… YOU NAME IT. Fast forward to today, that gym is my longest-standing client and has nearly tripled in capacity and revenue since I began working with them in 2020.

My business superpower is taking my client’s description of their vision and what they are looking for, developing a brand, and exceeding that vision. I get to work with clients and businesses that cater to females in various industries. To me, success in business means being authentic and architecting your business to support your dreams and the way you want to live. I strongly believe that you should work to live, not the other way around.

I’m so happy to have found Honeybook in 2021 (I think it was 2021, maybe 2022?) and quickly implemented it into my business. I know there are still so many ways I could be using it, so I’m excited for this next chapter of the platform to connect with and learn from this community!

Connect with me on Instagram @nvolvecollective and DM me that you’re from the HB Community. :)

Hi Nicole,

Great to meet you! I’m in North Carolina

I’ve been using HB for about 4 years now. I was able to talk the event venue I managed into getting it to help us better streamline our process. I have always loved tech type things, so setting up our account from scratch was so fun! I also fell in love with systems and the overall client experience in the process that I’ve started my own business around it.  And will actually be debuting my business officially to the world in the next week or so- though I’ve already worked with a few clients. So I’ll be offering HB services to other business owners in the beginning, while branching out to other systems soon (think automations with email marketing and sales funnels).

It’s so neat to hear how HB has really changed your business, too!

Looking forward to continuing to connect with you and lots of other members inside this new community :)

That’s incredible! I love learning new techy things too (currently trying to play around in Notion and learn more how I could use it in biz + life). Let me know your IG handle so I can follow your business journey, so exciting and there is SUCH a need for those services in Honeybook and beyond!!! The set up is always intimidating!

So nice to meet you Shannon!! Love the type of work you are doing (I’ve heard sleep training does wonders for new moms!)

Hi Kiley! So nice to meet you, your makeup looks are stunning!! I feel like there is such a need for personal makeup lessons I’m shocked that this is the first time I’m hearing about this type of service. :)

Oh, yeah, I’ve heard a lot of people like using Notion. I haven’t looked into it before myself, though. So definitely let me know what you think. And yes, setups for any kind of tech/platform can definitely be intimating, even if you consider yourself to be fairly techy. So I enjoy being able to help others get things going the right way from the start without all the stress and overwhelm!

And my social handles are all @graceandflowsystems. I have yet to post anything, but hoping to get some stuff up there soon with the official launch of my business. I’ll go ahead and give you a follow back, too :)

@Alyssa Nance I own a smaller event venue and, like you, LOVED setting up the system for funneling clients through our booking process using HoneyBook. I’ve thought about offering services as well, but haven’t been able to find the time to dedicate just yet (thankfully, the venue is keeping me pretty busy)… but I am living vicariously through you and cheering you on from Northwest Arkansas!

Amanda Condie Tapan

I'm looking forward to meeting and making new friends in our new home. We are looking and planning on opening a floral shop in April. Hope we can work together in our future.

Hello HoneyBook Community!

I’m Rick McLean, owner of Cut Loose Entertainment in the North Georgia area. We offer DJ/Lighting services, photo booth, and videography. I’ve been in business for over a decade now, but only came across HoneyBook in 2022 after researching SEVERAL other CRM systems. Hallie Pister

Hey friends!

My name is Hallie Pister and I own Opal House Wedding Co., specializing in editorial wedding photography for clients on the east coast. I’m based out of NC but travel to DC, NYC, Florida, etc. for weddings.

I started my business in 2021 but really started taking it seriously last year in January and am now full time! Fun fact, this is my first ever 5-figure booking month and I’m really stoked about it!

I’m absolutely obsessed with running my business. I never thought I’d like the back end of all of this (just wanted to take easy shortcuts at first to get past the hard stuff so I could just take pictures 24/7 haha) but now I love love love all things marketing, networking, social media, etc.!

If you want to check out my work and connect more, I’m on Instagram @opalhouseweddingco! Shoot me a DM that you’re from the HB community and let’s be friends :)

Tamara Miles

Hello, everyone. I think I’m the odd bird in this group so far… I’m the president of The Poetry Society of South Carolina, a 100-year old non-profit organization. This is my second year, and I’m still learning soooo much. There are many responsibilities to keep up, and unfortunately I am doing the majority of these tasks myself. That is probably my own fault because I am not asking for specific help enough from board members. In any case, I’m hoping HB is going to help me get organized and make things easier. We do a lot of meaningful and fun programs/events, and I have an initiative called Every Corner, Every County, which involves personally visiting every county in South Carolina and strengthening our relationship in the underserved areas. We’ve been known as a Charleston organization primarily, and I want to change that. We’ve already seen some success. I’ve visited about 27 counties so far, and we are changing our traditional program so that we meet in four areas of the state instead of only in Charleston. In addition to the traditional program, we have expanded our supplementary programs around the state. It’s a lot of work, but I do love it. I also teach college English, Humanities, and College Skills full time. Great to meet all of you. I need your support and encouragement … and tips. More than anything, we need more members, money, and volunteers. So those are my big tasks.

Tamara

Jennifer Vallens

Hi

My name is Jen Vallens. I rent event space for special events and meetings in Westlake Village, CA.  I am trying to get our process up to date in a digital world. As of now, we have only accepted check payments for rentals and I have been using a manual calendar to schedule the event.  I am a bit overwhelmed with all of the choices Honeybook provides, but this process is challenging me to analyze current practices and see how best to be efficient.  I love the customization and I am sure that once I “decide” and commit to new process and procedures, Honeybook will undoubtedly save me time and energy and help us make money.

My starting question is whether I should enter my events as clients or projects.  Most events are one offs but I also have renters that have recurring meetings.  Not sure best way to enter data.

Thanks for any advice.
