Hi, Everyone!

I’m Imani; Owner of Rebyrth Wellness, Full Spectrum Doula, Doula Trainer, Clinical Social Worker and Honeybook Educator based in Brookhaven, GA (right outside of Atlanta). You can learn more about me & my offerings on on my Instagram, @birth_fearfree.

I feel like I was one of the first doulas to ever use Honeybook (can this be verified, LOL) and I have been so impressed with the updates that have taken place over the almost 4 years I’ve been a user. I LOVE my work as a doula and business coach and I LOVE the simplicity integrating Honeybook into my businesses has offered me. More free time to do what I enjoy outside of work and more time to truly connect with my clients without mundane administrative tasks looming in my background which equates to more time for SELF CARE!

My go to self care routine is daily meditation and scheduling at least one spa day for myself each month. My routine is so crucial to my continued success as an independent-I never want to be in a position where I neglect to check in with myself with the same vigor as I do for my clients!

I’d love to hear from you all how you incorporate self care into your routine as an independent business owner.

Hey Imani, this is a great subject and I’m terrible at it. I know that I NEED to and SHOULD but I am terrible at prioritizing my self-care. I do try to shut down by 5 at least twice a week but that’s about it.

Nice to meet you, Imani! I love what you do. I hired a doula for my births so I value your services highly! The world needs more people teaching self-care!

Hey Imani!!

I chose NURTURE(d) as my word of the year this year, prioritizing nurturing my own health as well as my family relationships, my home, and of course - certain aspects of my business!

I’ve recently implemented a Morning Me time block. After I see the kids off to school, I take 30-60 minutes just for me. To read, do laundry or dishes while listening to music or a podcast, eat breakfast without rushing, or journal. It’s been a game changer to help me feel like I can jump into work more relaxed and clear-headed.

I’m also back to taking vitamins consistently, and have begun working out again. 🙌🏽 I also enjoy soaking in my tub with epsom salts and essential oils.

I have a friend named LaToya who is a doula out of Atlanta!! No chance you know her??

So nice to meet you!!! I love your self-care routine of booking a spa day each month (that is GOALS!)

My favorite part of my self-care routine lately is an Epsom salt bath weekly! I buy the ones with all the fancy smells and the bath is just the best way to close out my Mondays (which I used to not look forward to).

I also started implementing “turn down” routines, screen time limits, AND automatic timers that will turn on “Focus” also known as “Do Not Disturb” modes on my phone! This has been a game-changer for me, I have various custom modes such as “Morning Routine” and “Fitness” that I turn on as I move into tasks that are important for my self-care.
