Do I need to collect a w9 from my contractor if I am LLC? Do I have to collect a new one from the same contractor each year?

Yes, it’s best to collect a W9 from every contractor even if you don’t end up needing to issue a 1099 to them. You could collect one every year, just in case something has changed on their end, this way you ensure you have the most updated information when issuing a 1099 to them.
