I am genuinely curious, has every single employee at Honeybook seen what their direct competitors are doing? 17 Hats has a “Escape from Honeybook” Sale, Dubsado just “extended” their Black Friday sale,. For photographers, they are giving Honeybook users free migration for up to 2 years worth of projects, as well as $7/month for the first 3 months.

What are you going to do about this? You have been silent since your Price Hike announcement, your direct competitors are not.

HOW WILL YOU RESPOND TO THIS??

(Keep in mind, ALOT of us are only here, waiting to see if you take this seriously. Doing nothing shows you are not willing to fight for your customers. A company not willing to fight for my business and my loyalty is not one I will align with.)

@JBBrett87 I missed your original reply to my comment yesterday, and wanted to say thank you for the gracious response to me responding individually. I also wanted to take the time to reply here and acknowledge again your concern and your passion that you’ve demonstrated so clearly. You are right, (from your original reply), that we do have some AI features in our chat to help members find information about the price changes quickly, however members are always able to connect with a real person and our team has been working hard to support members through their questions and concerns in 1:1 conversations.

I can assure you that we are aware of what’s happening in the industry and are closely monitoring the actions of our competitors. Promotions from other companies may catch attention in the short term, something we acknowledge might be the right decision for some of our members to align with their budget, usage of the platform, or other needs to pursue.

That being said, our focus is on creating long-term value for our members by investing in the features, tools, and support that help your business thrive. It is our priority is ensuring that HoneyBook continues to be a platform that grows with you and supports your success in meaningful ways, and we hope our members can continue to have us as part of their entrepreneurial journey.

We're committing further on delivering the value you've come to know and love, with exciting new features rolling out across business efficiency, client experience, and financial management. The price increase enables us to accelerate development of powerful automation tools, AI-powered workflows, enhanced integrations, and comprehensive financial features. While specific features will vary by pricing tier, you can expect the same commitment to innovation and service that has defined HoneyBook for the past 12 years.

As I said yesterday when we exchanged comments, while I may not be able to change your mind or influence your decision to stay, I do want to respond, provide more detail where I can, and make sure you know that we are reading and listening.

@Kait M you guys just went up on your prices though. Adding AI is not a reason to hike the price up as substantially as it has been. You guys are also taking substantial fees for payments processed on the platform. At this point HoneyBook is making more money off our business than we are. The value we know and love is the money we have in our pockets from serving our clients.

Your investments should not cost us money you are permanently increasing just to say you added a feature. Many of the features we are asking for in the community are very BASIC things like being able to use a promo-code, being able to add pictures to emails, etc. Personally, I am immediately looking for competitors to earn my business because I fully agree with @JBBrett87 that HB needs to be aligned with the people that are keeping it running every day.

Not only are users paying you to use the platform, we are actively participating in developing it. Is HoneyBook taking that value into consideration?

I don’t think you should take the bulk of the complaints because you are just one person. I do think the people coming to the conclusion to raise prices every other quarter need to weigh out the net impact. This is a highly competitive market and it is much better to keep your clients by giving them what they want instead of looking at us like another way to line your pockets with our hard earned money and watching us leave.

The last time you hiked prices I had to downgrade my membership. This time it’s looking like I will be joining the people who are migrating to another service provider. This is not worth price gouging behavior that really appears to be abusive.
